hello......i found a way to reduce or remove lag from sh530u............
1)open setting
2)open(about phone)
3)check update
4)download update (no.1)
5)install update
6)check update
7)download update(no.2)
8)install update
9)check update
10)download update (no.3)
11)install update
12)done........
your phone will use android4.1.2 .....
but no more ice cream sandwich keyboard.......
the ram will have extra free space (around 50MB)......so please update.........you will have new experience to use android4.1.2 on sharp sh530u.......i will give 7.00/10.00 for everthing for this phone except for the GPU(200Mhz) (after update).

as a fellow SH530U user, you can contact the service center for it. The service center is GREYSTONE DATA SYSTEMS. They are located at Ayala Makati. You may contact them at 817.3105. Mine had a problem but not like yours. Mine was always turning on the WHITE SCREEN OF HELL as soon as an app is running.

I bought it in the month of January and in the same month itself it had given me problems,like you said it doesn't get on and shuts down automatically and it heats up a lot too..normally it gets own after a few hours...but now its been totally dead for 2 days. may I please have the service centre in Singapore?

Yesterday, April 25, 2013, I turned it off because I am going inside the church. Then when I pressed the power button, the screen lit up and the SHARP logo appeared, then it stayed like that for one hour and the phone is hot as hell. I pressed power button and - volume button but the phone did not reboot, it just turned off. I let it cool and pressed the power button again. Just like before, the screen only shows the Sharp logo and stayed like that forever until I pressed again the power and volume to turn it off.
It's useless right now.

Hi Sharp,
I would like to report a complain with regard to the phone that I bought from one of the stores who sells your product. Last February 4, 2013 I bought a Sharp 530u in pink to MX Memo Express in SM Marilao located in Bulacan. I was really happy that I was able to buy a phone with big screen, dual core processor with 16GB internal and 4GB external memory. The Sharp phone works really fine on the first month that I had used it. After a month I had experienced an error where in the phone is heating while I was charging it. Let me tell you the errors of this phone on a bullet type to be easily understand.
* The phone is heating every time I re-charge the battery. (*Note: The battery is built on the phone)
* When I was on a call with my friend, the phone went on sleep mode and when I tried to click the power button on the upper left part, the phone is not responding and automatically turned off.
* After 2 days I decided to bring the phone back to the store to check the issue and resolution of this phone.
(*Action taken from the store: The Sales representative just plugged it on a charger and it worked fine. I tried asking them if it normally happen to SH530u and I was told that this phone was never had a complain from any customers. I decided to go home and told them that I will observe this phone and will send this phone back to them if the same issue persist.
* After a day, While I was charging it, I decided to turn off the phone and after 2 hours of charging I tried to turn on the phone but the power button was not working again. Again, I visited a store to check my phone but this time it is the same store but in a different branch. They told me that this phone needs to be sent to Sharp Philippines to be fixed. After a week I got the phone again but to be exact, the date this phone was given to me was on April 20, 2013. I tried using it, charged the phone and turn it off then after an hour, I tried to turn on the phone and Its not working again. This phone is now giving me so much hard time and I am really frustrated and hoping to get it fix as soon as possible.
I am now about to complain about it to the store where I bought this phone. How I wish that they will give me a brand new phone that is working properly. I am hoping that Sharp will also help me on this issue. Your FEEDBACK will be highly appreciated.

Please help me...
I just had this phone 2 months ago and its actually working properly on its first month but after a month It has an issue that I can't turn on my phone anymore. I tried charging it but it is not charging.. I tried using my charging on the other phones that I have and its actually working properly. I sent this phone to sharp service center then I just got it yesterday. The phone worked for 2 hours then when I tried to turn off my phone I cant turn it on again. I do the same thing like charging my phone tried 5 chargers but it didn't work. I need help on how will I fix a piece of crap like this! I am really disappointed with sharp 530u. I need help....
