Excellent screen! ...but earpiece volume way too quiet even when turned to maximum! Battery only 800amps so the the phone need to be charged quite frequently! Luckly, the charging time is extremely short! A spare battery is yours for only US$30.00, so it's a good idear to carry one!

Some people (nixon) are saying "the features arent good enough"
WTF!? just because it doesnt have wi-fi??
Where i live its only 7 dollars for unlimited internet.. why would you worry about wi fi if internet plans are dirt cheap??
i think this phone is amazing.. the screen is just unbelievable i love it..if i can get my hands on it, i would..

So are you saying you are actually carrying a REAL FULL HD plasma TV with you at all times??? Wow :D ;)
The screen is large, but it's the resolution that really makes it worth-while. Once you own one you don't want to go back!!!

yes, u r correct that the phone is to be set to have low volume
the reason is because that the japanese do not care about ringtones...they only use the ringtones which are available in the phones....
plus, Japanese do not talk/speak/chat etc in public..... everyone keeps quiet in the subway, buses and on the streets
u can say that it is their culture

Excellent VGA screen. Only letdown is the quiet ringtone & speaker volume! ...but it is a tradition/culture of 'Japanese phones'...?!

They don't sell because they are not tailored for our market.
Japanese handsets are unique in their size and features, and typically way ahead of the rest of the world.
The SX862 is a radically cut version of the 920SH - but it's SHARP telling us they are giving this another go.
I believe that Hong Kong and Taiwan will gladly receive this handset! If so, SHARP will hopefully keep HK and TW up to date with other developments. Then I don't care if they release this in Europe, as long as I can get the HK version I'm happy!

Tried to contact with local vodafone UK and they stated no new Sharp phone are in their new phone list. What a shame! Guess I need to import this baby in. I have DoCoMo SH905i too. The screen is just superb! Like portable Full HD Plasma TV
