This one has a bigger screen. V801SH has a 2'4 inch screen, and GX30 has a 2'2 inch screen. Picture quality is the same. There might be other things to that are diffrent other than screen size and the 3G band, but i cant think of it right now..

Ha ha ha. I laugh about Sharp! In the Brands by rate on the second place? That must be a mistake!

It's only for the Japanese market and probably doesn't have an English menu. It would be strange if it has an English menu thoug, since Sharp is releasing GX30 on Vodafone with almost identical features here in Europe.

3G phones dont necessary have to support video calling as seen by 3's range of phones. Some only support video msgs but is on the 3g network utilising its functions.

This is not a 3G phone. 3G phones has 2 camera, normally and has video conferencing capabilities... I still think there is no value added for bar coding in a phone

This is the World version of the Japanese phone. It will be compatible world wide.
The is offically Sharp's 1st 3G phone for release outside of Japan.

I think it's possible to buy the phone, get it unlocked (some companys do hat quite cheap) and use it wherever u want aftr that. As long as it can be unlocked, it should work. It's the English menu im worried about.it's not always standard with an english menu in Japanese mobiles...
