check out eBay. there's 2 on sale for cheap. if you buy the unit without plan/activation cost at Vodafone store is about $800 US dollars.

You HAVE to put a Japanese Vodafone USIM card or your V801SH won't work. There are 22 roaming partner in India with Vodafone (FASCEL, Hutchinson, Orange, Spice Telecom, AirTel, RPG....) USE the USIM from Vodafone Japan and it will work.

Sydney, you can find the full users manual in English on the Vodafone site. http://www.vodafone.jp/english...omestic.html scroll down to the V801SH picture and click "full version" and you will have full English manual for your V801SH

Where can I get a manual for v801sh sharp
my usim is blocked and told to see manual anyone has sharp email in Japan I appreciate if someone with manual to let me know how to unblock usim card

oh it can be done here... better check who won the competition made by microsoft. Polish ppl were the only one who managed to break off their programs... :p oh, by the way- Merry Christmas ^^ akemashite omedetou gozaimasu!

with all this technology I don't see why someone can't come up with a unlocking software for the V801SH! come-on hackers! get going and start unlocking this very useful phone so it's not limited to Vodafone only!!! CFmobile did the V801SA! So let get going!!!!!!!

V902SH will be released or may already have been released in Japan. With a 2MP camera, optical zoom, etc. There is a rumor that a unlocked version that just looks like the V902SH is the GX40. I'm sure like the V801SH the 902 will most likely not be able to unlock... I really hate the way Japanese phone are tightly software locked and very hard to unlock or almost impossible. At least CF Mobile got the Sharp V801SA unlocked, but the 801SA's camera (.3MP) and video recording length is very short (not like the V801SH at 30 minutes segment). I will sit tight and just wait until someone comes up with a unlocking software for the V801SH.

good luck getting the V801SH unlocked. I didn't know Polish pople are good hackers????????? but if it can't be done in Japan I don't know if you'll be able to do it in Poland!

Oh peoplz.... anyone can unlock any phone in Poland... the best hackers are in poland. i'm getting my v801sh soon, and got it unlocked soon. CYA!

the V801SH will ONLY take USIM card that of Japan Vodafone, so at this time there is no way to use any other SIM card for the V801SH. There is a unlocked version of the V801SA (Sanyo) in China that you can buy now, but not the V801SH.

To rinkurinku : Couid I know where are you from? I have heard of that someone in Taiwan had also unlock V801sa version.I really want to know wheather the locking software is the same as in V801sh and what do you mean " It is possible to unlock it "? Is there a software help you to unlock the phone or the other way? Cause I really interested in V801sh and really want it be unlocked, I am in Shanghai,China.
