my siemens cf62 battery is not working properly. after full charge it will not long last. after a long call it had to be recharge

I have this phone. It was working fine. Now the problem is that when it keep it for charging, it becomes off after 5-10 minutes. I was using a duplicate charger. From where can i obtain the original Siemens CF62 charger. Is it possible to get the charging IC for CF62?
I am in Chennai. Is service for the same available in Chennai. Thanks in advance.

I bought this phone on 2005. Still it works fine. I changed the battery after 2 years of usauge. But the replaced battery doesnt give good life. Needs charging very often. Difficult to get new battery in india as
SIEMENS phone is not famous here and also company stopped production.However being my first cell phone it is serving well with basic functions.

Hello! I have a question about this cell. For some reason, it doesnt save the text msg that I sent! It always says 'sent' 0 even if I sent msgs and I know people receive them. Also, when I am sending the msg, it asks me 'validity period' what is that?? Even when I press one week, I cant find the sent msg anwhere!

when i read others opinion i said to my self i must shear my experience with other .. i think it's a good cell phone but it's needed too much options to be better.

I bought this phone in sept 2004 and it has worked fine until feb 2008. The battery is dead now. It was a good phone. I will try to get a new battery and use it as a secondary phone. However I'm buying a Nokia now because Siemens mobile dept. has been sold to Benq and it became rare to find Siemens mobile phone on the market. What a pity !

well,it's quiet a good phone but it has a very weak battery. it gets flat even just by flipping it. above all it looks to have many functions but very few and only has 5ringtones
and everything is "please wait",for the games it will take you a minute just to load but otherwise it's a pretty good phone!

it is pathetic. when ever i turn it on, well, it just doesn't. And sometimes when it does turn on when i get a call the ring tone doesn,t work. and in the middle of a call it turns off. i recomend this phone to people know nothing about phones. if you have just bought this phone then sell it now. (i have had this phone for two years and i felt like i was in a living hell.

I' had this phone for three years now. My wife has second one. All these years phones worked well, no problem at all. Yes, it is the basic phone with some extra options. No doubt it does it's primary function. Siemens support is very good also. All phone software can be downloaded and installed back from company's support page if you need it. I have my phone at work all the time and so far it has survived industrial harsh environment. Now (three years later) batteries are ding but as far as I know it is normal for the cell phone. So, if you need basis and cheep phone go for this one.

My freind send it to me from itly. it really is a slow,little mamory phone. And by mistake i have deleted its ring tones. you will be surprise to know taht it could not recover those. So my advise is dont choose this one.

ive bought the t-mobile issue in ebay to use as a back up phone... its good, does all the basic but its just to slow... im used to writing sms real quick and without looking and it just couldn't keep up... most of its function are really slow. Its a good thing i just use this for my other number and just text on it occassionally. Im planning to pass it on to a cousin of mine as his first phone.

This phone has a problem of its battery. The battery backup is very low even in its idle stage. And for sometimes, the phone goes shut off without any reason.

Had this for 2 years before the battery shut down. I ordered a battery online at cellphoneshop.net and is working again. Not much of features but does the basics, voice call and texting. Over all it is a good phone for me.
