I got my M55 in December 2003. This phone is everlasting. Still runs on original battery. Even 4,5 years later, I can talk up to 1hr without having to charge it. I have dropped it 4 or 5 times and since about 2 months ago the vibrator started acting up but we'll say it's my fault. I am very pleased with this phone and would definitely buy another Siemens phone if they were in business. Does anyone know if this BenQ-Siemens phones are as strong as good old Siemens ones?

I toasted the phone literally with a short circuit in the usb cable. even smoke appeared . it only destroyed the microphone circuit on the mainboard. the principal function is ruined , but the phone still works on the other functions.

A great phone. I've bought it almost 4 years ago and still performs nice, despite the hard conditions where I use it. I have it with my in mountains, in very cold weather, heavy rains and very hot days - the battery still last 5 days idle and maybe 2,5 hours talking. Compact, resistant, reliable and a nice design.
I'm thinking at a new phone, but I'll surely keep my M55 too, as a 2nd phone.

Hi all! This is indeed for me a great fone. However, I bought a new unit since the battery is giving up on me (its already 4yrs old) and the reception's not as good as before. But I'll still keep it as secondary fone. Anyway, I have a query. Does anyone here know how I can transfer my messages from the phone memory to my SIM? I can't access my old messages from my new unit. Help please :)

Great phone! Rock solid, small and lightweight. I bought it years ago and still use as a secondary phone. Firmware modifications (patches) add almost limitless possibilities. Mine M55 has big digital clock when keyboard is locked, advanced netmonitor, some additional indicators (temperature, signal strength), custom vibra modes like on C55, expanded to 3.2 Mb storage space, custom icons, font and many more little mods. The battery is still original and works several days (secondary phone, remember?).

hey guys, can you tell me if this phone got cookie feature so i can turn it on, i keep failing to access gmail through m3 card (indonesian provider), it said that the browser's cookie functionality is turn off & i have to turn it on (enable) first, but i cant seem to find it anywhere in this phone, so if u happen to know where it is please let me know,...............thanx
its strange though, when i try it with xl card (also Indonesian provider) it works just fine, no cookie stuff, and i always make sure that the browser's setting is the same when ever i use both cards, help me out here................................
