This phone is great. Simple to use and almost indestructable. I forgot it in my pants pocket when I put them in the washer. After a couple of days to dry out, the phone still works! Sounds unbelievable, but it is true. I was probably just really lucky, so I don't recommend anyone putting their phone in a washing machine. :)

I've got it the day it was launched in my country, long time ago! Since then I had no problems! The dog eat it once, but remained intact. Also I disabled the side lights for longer battery time, and I reduced the brightness of the display! So everything is possible!

I got an M55 4 months ago. It is a good phone. An amazing incident was happened 15 days before with me. I was on my bike and my siemens m55 slipped from my pocket. When I noticed this and stopped to take it. A Suzuki car's rear wheel came over my mobile. I was disappointed that now it would be finished. But amazingly only its LCD display damaged and all other functions were correct. I had another A60 with the same colors. I just transferred the LCD Display from my Siemens A60 which worked perfectly and still working. I rushed to the Siemens's service company and got a new LCD display in my older SIEMENS A60 mobile. Now I m happy. One draw back of SIEMENS language in Urdu is that the translation is not quite correct. And the spelling of the language is not correct. A company like SIEMENS must concern Urdu language expert who is familiar with the technology as well as language. Any how I am happy with this mobile.....Waqar

Phone is sensational. I have got it since yesterday, what amazes me it is 4 years old, was released in 2003, but is seams that os (menu, graphical user interface etc.) is much faster than motorolas i was using since now, especially mid range moto fron 2006 :) heh, it is a shame that Siemens doesn't make phones anymore.

Yeah where do I start. Love this phone. First different phone after my nokia love affair. Man is it tough, I've dropped it, got it soaking wet, dropped it some more & accidentally drove over it. I still have it as a backup. PS> still using the orginal battery. Excellent phone even if it was a bit basic.

What a great phone this was and still is!I have mine since 02-27-2004 and still works almost like it did when i got it.I dropped it about 5-6 times(about 3 times on concrete)
and it didn't have a thing just not recognising the sim.I made alot of pictures with my camera and only now it makes some 'lil problems. And the phone...it has some small problems like the keypad light ggoes off sometimes when you use it but that's not so bad for a 3 year-old phone. The side-leds also don't work very good...from time to time they blink different for no reason at all and the key-pad doesn't respond quite well sometimes but it's not that bad either.Greatest phone i've ever seen and posesed!Great job siemens with this phone and i hope the other siemens phones are as good as this one was and still is!

Hello again. I almost forgot about the file or folder system (whatever it is called). It's great. You can erase move and change almost everything.. file extensions etc. Pressing right in the cursor enters in a folder / displays sub menus. Pressing left goes: back in history / up folder. Same goes with green(yes) and red(no) keys. Still want a new one tho :) Bbye

Hello there. I (still) own/use an M55 since Fev2004 and the only things I like about it are the design, it's low weight and small size as well as the side red led's and it's many features. I've dropped it MANY times and nothing happened. Other than that, the lightning is the worst i've seen, the battery is really bad though it lasts the same as when i bought it (if you own a nokia you know wat i'm talkn about ;)), the overall menu is extremely slow. I'm dying to get a new one =) . Cheers
