CHRIS if you phone your network service provider, this (should be a free call)they will send you a couple of icons, and when you open them, they will set it up for you.
otherwise it does take a bit of working out, it took me all day, to get it to work, but i put this down to the fact that i had just bought the phone, and the network had not completely configured my account, hope you get it sorted, the phone is great for the money, and when my data cable arrives, i am sure i will learn a lot more about it. click on IMAGING then on N411i then on download software, Let me know if this helps. Ken

CHRIS, You need to set your phone up to receive MMS Follow the settings in your hand book on page 40 about conecting to the web, if you don't have a handbook the go to http://www.neceurope.com/mobil...age=ENG&cp=5
and you will find it in this site.

Click on Imaging, Click on N411i, then click download software, the N411i is the same data cable for the e540, Hope this Helps. Ken.

can any1 help me plz av got an mms message an it sayin i need to download it but when i try it says mms receive failed network unreachable can any1 help me plz thz.

Could someone *please* put up the link to where they found the suite needed on the computer, in order to link to the phone using a USB cable. I've looked everywhere, and come up with nothing.

Thanks, but got the data cable from the £6.99 place, finally found the download point (N411i page) but then saw how long it will take to download - over 4 hours on my dial up! Does anyone know of the drivers and suite on CD or DVD?

E540 data cable at fonefunshop.co.uk £11.99 or at the link shop £9.99 Software available for free download from nec europe, there is another company doing the cable for £6.99, but you will have to read the replys as i have forgot who it was.

I was suprised to see that when I tried the bluetooth on the NEC e540 it didn't work, can anybody tell me how?

Help!! Russ gives a link for the download of the nec suite from the neceurope site, but when I click on it, I get the message of "software not available from this web site" where can I get it from, as the phone does what I want it to, but I can't get the photos to my PC or the other way round even, let alone try the mp3 player out yet.

PLEASE HELP!!! I have got vodafone to let me send photos by GPRS but the phone keeps saying network down have done what vodafone told me to do what am I doing wron someeone please help as I have tried emailing NEC but no reply.
