firstly this phone is fab I love it. I suggest people make sure they can access the gprs network on their phone WAP in other words before they leave the store as I cant on mine this doesnt bother me as everything I want to download I do through my usb cable. to buy one go to The Links web site and order one it cost £19.99 but is worth every penny if anyone can get the gprs settings for this phone on orange to work please let me know.

thanks dan, i dont think that its very good that the phone can only transfer 1 mb through infraared. the phone is really 69.99 if u want an mp3 as you will hve to buy a cable to link to the pc. personally i htink you shoul get a lead.
i do the think the phone is ok for the mon

It isnt full bluetooth so you cant do file tranfers... yes its not good so you should use a infrared datacable but it can only send up to 1MB... so overall you pretty much have to cut down your songs or download your songs... cept for that i like the phone

Hi am planning to get e540 - Been reading what you guys are saying - I need to know can you transfer files/data/MP3 to and from the PC - with the USB bluetooth adapter? Or you cant do that also??

hi i got the nec (e540) a week ago and found out the bluetooth does not work and my mp3 is rubbish it cannot hold any music i dont see the point of it having a mp3 on it but can some one help me to work my bluetooth

I am very happy with the phone but I have one question I hope someone can answer. To start with when it was on but the cover was closed the LED would flash blue but now it doesn't. Have I changed a setting by accident? If so which one?

got phone good price no bluetooth phone to phone got data cable and software tried on 4 pc will not work I will Give it 5 for the flip phone & bluetooth vioce control but 1 for the rest if any one can make my data cable work i will change that

i was trying to send a music file... i managed to make the file smaller so it sent but it wouldnt save... if someone knows why please tell me...

I purchased the e540 phone via carphone warehouse, but was unaware that the bluetooth function was not a full VERSION. I feel cheated by the shop and also by the saleman(galashiels).
Why was this not mentioned at the time of purchase ? and do I have the right to demand my money and tradein phone back.
If anybody reads this from Nec can you please email me back.
I DONT LIKE BEING MISLEAD BY THE LACK OF IMFORMATION GIVEN BY SALES PEOPLE THAT DONT KNOWE ABOUT PRODUCTS THAT THEY SELLLLL>

Can anyone help? when i try to log on to to NEC mobile site (www.necmobile.com), i get the following error message "Exceeded the maximum number of redirects".I can log on to other sites without any hassles.
Any ideas/thoughts?

hi. i got the phone (e540) a couple od days ago and someone told me that the phone has 28mb of storage but when a friend tried sending me a song that was 1.9mb it said 'file too big could not send'. why is this??? does anyone no
please help!!!!!??!?!??!?!?
