Just got my NEC e949 horizon, I'm not so happy with it, the phone signals keeps going high & low, I keep getting disconnected, battery dies out fast. Anyone can tell me where to get a car charger for this phone?

Got a feature inquiry, one that does not seem to be documented in the manual, and it is this: With the
included headset plugged in, and being on a call, the microphone button switches the call from 'active' to 'on hold'.
Interestingly enough, I tried the button when not in call mode, and found out that the phone enters a 'trained' mode, looking for certain events.
Does anyone know what this is all about ? I appears one could program something - like a call list - maybe a voice prompt - to initiate calls when the headset is plugged in.
Thanks for your responses. Love the phone !!!

I am using Nec e949/L1, the phone is a perfect product from a great corporation as Nec, I am glad and proud to use it in Vietnam, where Nec is "a stranger". Now I am having problems with it. I can't transfer datas and images from it to a Nokia via Bluetooth. I don't know how ?

Also, you can setup the MMS and SMS to work perfectly on US Tmobile, but since my phone seems to have died, I won't be able to provide you with my settings. Hopefully I can this fixed through NEC and then post the info.

Switch the band you are searching for. It is probably set for the UK. It should be an easy fix.

My phone quit working after two weeks. The phone was great, but appears to be a problem with the battery. Too bad I can't remove it.

NEC 949 cell phone with T-Mobile US anyone? I can use SMS but cannot visualize MMS and email but I should be able to. The phone is unlocked and should work anywhere in the world I am with a different SIM card. T-Mobile US does not seem to be able to help as the NEC e949 is not on the market in the US yet. Someone has the same? Can anyone help configure MMS and Email Services?
Thank you!

I have a Nec e949 here, Vietnam. The battery doesn't last for a long time. It makes me angry if I have some important calls to work ! Furthermore, It doesn't have a card slot, and the memory inside is too small for me to store whatever I want. However, the only thing I like is that It's a super-slim mobile, even slimmer than Motorola V3.

this phone sucks! I've had one for a few months now and i'm really not happy... that battery is total crap... i'll be lucky if it lasts a day, and i really dont use it non stop... the phones also got A LOT of glitches and errors, for example, sometimes the phone refuses to acknowledge that i have received a txt... the browser also sucks... all websites are blocked and i can find a way to unblock them (little help?)... the only pro amongst a sea of cons is the fone is really really nice to look at, its incredibly slim and well designed... i wouldn't recommend buying this phone... its crap, crap crap crap...
