state of the art! great picture,great sound,i took a picture of my car and it looks best, never seen a phone with such amazing camera compare to 7610nokia.

If it's the e949 then it's not the Imode version of the phone. The Imode version is the 412i !

It is an i-mode phone, the question is, from which country. Each country has different settings. U need to ask O2 for settings on their N411i model and store them into the phone.

my new e949 has just arrived from eBay. But...does it actually have i-mode? Coz it doesn't seem to work with i-mode. I have o2 sim (uk)...what's wrong then? Does it support i-mode at all? Please help me...

this phone has full BT capability. just read the manual. If you have n412i version then no MP3 ringtone. as per all i-mode phones. need the e949 version for mp3 ringtone

can anyone help me how to set sms ringtone with mp3 ? or what is smsringtone format and where to get them coz the original sounds are all sucky ......

Geo, for configuring the picture quality, you have to set the image quality to the highest. For this particular phone, it happens to be: SXGA or VGA. But for me, i prefer the SGXA.
As for your query on the video recoring. I have no idea. When recording, it does seem to be really good, but then when transfered, its terrible. Oh well, life goes on.

1)any idea why the video playback is blur-seems ok when recording?
2)mp3 song can't b played on phone after trf from PC to Phone?
3)pic trf to PC is very small?wht setting should i choose ?

barny. you want the e949 WAP version. You can use mp3 as ringtone. BT will send and receive files as well as handsfree. N412i does not have mp3 ringtone but same BT. L1 is the hong kong version

Man this phone is a piece of garbage, the battery sucks, the features suck everything about it sucks! I read some good and bad things about it, mostly good and when I bought it… man, I was very disappointed, a few days later I took it back to the shop and exchanged it for a different one. If you wanna buy it for its looks then go ahead and buy it, but if u wanna good phone stick with nokia or samsung

Just a question about the L1.... i'm thinking of buying it because it's a hot phone, but what does the USB do? and with the MP3s, the phone doesn't have speakerhone, does that mean they can't play out aloud? Also, what does Blue tooth allow you to do? Thanks!!

ans. USB enables you to transfer/upload files,pictures,movies form your phone to your PC (viceversa ).

ans. NO. you can still play MP3s out loud just set the volume to your desired loudness,it has 9 lvls. of volume, by the way speakerphones are not used for playing MP3's its for calling/communication purposes.
3)Also, what does Blue tooth allow you to do?
ans. Bluetooth does the same as USB, the only difference is your sending files via wireless connection.

please be specific in your problems why you said what you said...there is no good in venting out your anger to the phone if you can't defined clearly what upsets you.
and yes you have made your point, got your other phone etc...you could help a lot of people by being specific and wanting to have the problem fixed other than making tantrums.

qwerty use the up/down left/right buttons with the camera. if you set the resolution to maximum there is no zoom
