The battery of my phone bought last Feb 13, 2012 has no sticker(hologram) of Nokia. The battery lasts for 3 days, but I'm not sure if the battery is genuine since it has no hologram to verify. :/
BTW my N1280 is made in China.

mine is V6.51 firmware. This is good phone. Simple, large and soft keypad. Comfortable to hold.
Is there a website to get free ringtones for this phone?

if ur planning to buy this handset I suggest buy ones with the latest firmware version 6.51 or so.. This doesn't have any problems like automatically restarts or "s" not showing on contacts, etc.,I just bought one of this with the latest (probably) firmware version
and oh... regarding the "voice leak", the only solution is to cover the rear speaker during calls, that's it.
Mine is made in china some says made in india will not lasts long..

the only solution to 'voice leak' is to cover the rear speaker during call coz the truth is der really has no separate earpiece in it, even the latest basic phone like nokia 100, 101, c1,c2, some x-series, etc., has none..

this maybe the last monochrome phone of nokia, im not sure i just read it on an article saying 1280 will be the last monochrome.. So i bought two of 'em, just in case.. Lol

incredible battery life !! both in stand by and talk-time !! the only one I satisfied in this way.... in addition to its powerful FM radio.

Nokia still rules when it comes to basic phones..this one is durable and has a long battery life..very cheap..value for money..not as bulky as my sensation XE haha!!

Go to Settings- Display settings- Cell info display- Turn 'on'
or
Method (2)
Go to Messages- Message settings- info service- turn 'on' (here don't do anything with other options like topic index, topics, language, topics on SIM)
