samsung had a to password the phone lock and sim lock ... the problem I forgot my phone lock password...

Cheap phone. It does what it does. I'm only using it for until my new phone arrives, but I'm impressed by its battery life since I'm completely lazy when it comes to charging.

The keypad auto-lock period can be adjusted by disabling power saving mode (if enabled) and adjusting the Backlight time which is related to keypad time.
If you want to use power saving mode the keypad will lock after nearly 10 second. So you can adjust LCD brightness to minimum (to 1 postion) as power saving mode without using it.

correction to my post before, my secondary fone gave up, actualy the charger went up in smoke eheh, and while waiting for my new fone i am using this samsung. and i have to say:
1. BATTERY is amazing! It lasts forever!
2. SIGNAL is great, absolutely top notch, much better than my expensive fancy HTC.
And i gotten used to the bad LCD, i can manage, for a while. Anyway its a weird fone, it insist on putting all SMS, so i dont even know if its true that it can store 500 SMS internally. In any case, battery life and signal are really impressive.

this has to be wrong, GPRS and EDGE?? On a fone with no browser and no MMS support? Nope, this fone has no data connection whatsoever.
I have one coz i got it for free, battery is ok but its lacking in everything else so i cant say i find it useful at all. Better to get a Nokia 1202/1280 or something like that, they have better LCD also (not colored but much clearer and brighter) so you can actually READ your text messages. Nokia 1280 even have FM radio. or add a few bucks to get a cheap sony3riczn - its still d best quality brand.
Watever you do, do NOT buy samsung E1080x, or any other samsung fone.
edit: another advantge of this samsux is the big keypad, good for very old ppl or others with big fingers with reduced motorics. But the bad LCD pretty much rules out old ppl, they will not be able to see the LCD at all. So sorry to say, this fone is so ret@rded that it cannot be used by even re@trded ppl!
