804ss is a very very nice phone, but you gotta get 804ss firmware from Japan or the Z540v Vodafone one.. the Z548 and the Z540 is BOOOORING!!!
As for the 705SH... If you arnt in Japan.. dont get it yet as there is no unlock for the phone yet, Unless you wanna get it.. sit on it for a bit and when the unlock comes out sell it or then use it? Otherwise I recomend the UK ver of the 770SH (705SH) jus that the UK version can be unlocked and dosnt have those Japanese Sharp firmware limitations.
Overall.. Id get the 804ss now if you do need a phone NOW. or sit on a 705SH until unlocking.. as for me... I have Brought a Black locked 904SH and I am using my 903SH UK version until the unlockng for the 904SH comes out and then.. Out the 903SH goes.
All sharp phones are AMAZING But this time due to there being no unlock out yet.. i would have to recomend Samsung 804ss this time.

I'm wondering about the mp3 ringtone option too. I can't decide between this and the Samsung 804ss and that may be the deal breaker.

it doesnt say theres mp3 on the ringing tone but it does hav a mp3 player so does it mean i can still set mp3 as my ringing tone?
and also, anybody know where i can get this phone online? i really like it... ><

this phone has been released today .. its a good phone it may look "bland" like hana says but in terms of functional use sharp always wins

....I think they need to recruit some new designers too,the red 903 is the only sharp model that looks half-way attractive in my eyes,this model and most of the others sharp have released just look pretty bland compared to some of the competitors.

sharp should start putting a radio in their latest phone, this feature becomes a standard feature in other brand and sharp should catch up

it's actually a Japanese model, released by Vodafone KK. Just found it on their web site.
We'll see if it gets released in Europe, as I think the 770SH is its European brother.
Just an observation, nothing more... no reason to get upset.
