clamshell phone and stylish when flip is close. but when open ugly button .... bulky...

This is a perfect phone for me. Only things i wish could be improved is for sure the VGA
Camera. It should be at least 1.3 MP or 2 MP.
The 128x160 display to be upgraded to 176x220 and a flash for the camera. Otherwise, this phone is perfect.

This is a good budget walkman phone and if I'm paying a good price I would not mind about the VGA camera because I'm more interested in the walkman functions only. Those of you who complain about the camera there's a w800i waiting for you. No phone is perfect. For me with the right price this phone is on my list.

When this phone is coming out and i hope the price is not too expensive for me. Can anybody tell me is it that Memory Stick Micro support up to 1GB, 2GB or 4GB? this is the first clamshell walkman phone. I will check if i got more details to write. It has all the features but does the picture clear with VGA camera and record unlimited video recording.

i will buy it as soon as it will be available, becoz i was looking for a low price mobile yet a music phone. I GOT ITTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!

why sony ericsson still producing phone with vga cam?????

this phone look stunning and cute,but,their function....hmmmmmm......

but it has memory slot!why W550 not have memory slot! :-(

I'm using W800i and my friends are waiting for a Walkman phone with low price to come and I think this is the one that matches my friends requirements......but camera sucks..

This phone owns i want to buy it.I want it cuz i know its gunna be cheap and gunna be good and for u ppl most nokia phones are garbage or look the same.

i can guarantee it has no flash.
take a close look at the front of the phone, if their was a flash, you'd be able to see the led...
besides, an led flash is almost useless.

Ive check se official site n it written that this fone got no flash...
but, in gsmarena site written there is flash, so which is correct?

i'm sure this will be a great phone...however, i still find that sony ericsson is far behind in designing decent clamshells.
their hinges seem almost crude, the button placement lacks any sort of beneficial creativitity(those overlapping circles dont do it for me)...
and where are the external music controls located? on the side? wtf?
se candybars are fully refined, sophisticated, and respected...however, they seem to be taking a step back with their clamshells.
they need to learn a thing or to from samsung...(mabye tap some of their engineers? hahah)

Please let the SE-engineers have a high-end walkmanclamshell as well in store for the near future!
One with 3 Mp camera and much more memory.
Then SE will have a hit-phone.

i believe this is a good phone to use as not everyone can afford to buy megapixel cam phone right? this is just a middle range phone with nice design meant for those who like it nice and cheap. As for those high end phones like 800 and 790, i feel that they are all good..no phones are that bad since SE has already made so many mistakes in the past, i'm sure they won't make any now :)

Well this is a budget walkman phone after all... and they do include a 256MB memory stick which is rater. Not everyone needs wants of can afford a fully specced phone, if they do go for the K800

I think this phone has a good design. When first reading the news at gsmarena.com, I was thinking "Sucks. Monochrome external display? 65K internal color? 128x160 px resolution? VGA cam? What did SE engineers have in mind when they designed this phone??"

But after seeing the picture.. whow. Monochrome.. yes, but it's orange-cool anyway! 65K internal display with only 128x160 px, and VGA camera.. yes, but it has card slot!

24mm thickness?? (thicker than the w550i).. well.. OK, but it has USB 2.0!!

So I think these drawbacks are acceptable. Just hope that SE sets a good, affordable price for this baby.

In my opinion, this is not only a budget-walkman phone, but a better-budget-walkman phone. In some ways it outperforms the w550i. So I guess this phone is more "music" than w550i.

But that's only an oppinion anyway.
