The April bug is flooding Siemens Customer Service with handys here in Portugal...The average time for a firmware upgrade rose from 1 hour to 1 or even 2 days! Nevertheless, the price of this phone has dropped to about €310 when it was priced at €375 in the first place

Hello...I really love the S45...is a great phone....with only minor problems...the ringtones is quite soft...and I am having difficulty getting the case for my S45...I guess the accessories(non-original) for S45 is quite limited and expensive too!!

Major PLUS: Siemens is the only manufacturer that encourages the "self upgrading" by consumers, posting the latest firmware version on www.my-siemens.com Nasty...

Is a great phone packed with advanced features....but the problems i.e. ringtones too soft, the vibration is weak, and the user interface not easy to use!

I'm still stunned with this beauty! I've been a Nokia user for about three years and once I've tried this phone I've been a Siemens fan and I truly recommend it! It has lots of features that you can't imagine! Nad the "mobile fun" capabilities are huge! Never had that much fun with a phone! I'd rate it 9 out of 10 because it has a flaw: no date/hour available for the outgoing calls :-(

I own both S45 and ME45 because I like the feature and I also like outdor activities. I am satisfied with these phone, which are actualy similar to each other. I have never been this happy since I used celullar phone in 1996. I have tried many cellular make, but I think I like Siemens the best. The reasons being its longlasting battery and large screen. Now plus its feature such as GPRS and large internal storage capacity.

PS: I forgot to mention that one's a lot luckier if living in Germany, as seemingly they have three testicles, are wiser and have better customer service at Siemens :p...Talk about favoritism! - U must understand that it is quite frustrating to pay 300$ for something and the have to piddle around with it to make it work...that's why I'm sayin' all this.

Yup, the 14 SW version (or 5. for the asian market) fixes it allright, along with some other minor glitches, but I've got some bad news about the "on-line update" ideea: it can't be done - and the SW is already available! U have to go to a Siemens service center, bring some papers with u, to prove u bought it (that's such a load of shit!Bought it or not, it's their product and they should fix it, damn it!), leave it there for 1 to 5 days(!), although some people-mostly cute girls;)-reported that theirs was fixed in 1h...
Add to this the keyboard that will start peeling off (remember S35i...?) and there u have it! Good intentions, Siemens says...well the way to hell is paved with good intentions!

To A good fella...
Thanks for warning me about the bug.
I've got a bigger surprise for you; it's happening all over the month april, if you take the first day untill the last one, the bug is still there.
Check this out, and sent a message back to confirm it.... see you.
