Ok, but is it official that they're cancelling this phone? I found it already strange that not a single shop here ( Amsterdam Netherlands ) - ok i tried like about 5 - knows it, some retailers don't even sell siemens anymore.

this model would realy give the competition a run for its money if it had a higher display resolution (240 x 320?) and a 2.0 megapixel camera. it is archaic to have 132 x 176 pixels display and a 1.3-megapixel camera. i really suggest that siemens build on this model and make improvements in its features. the design and the key pad is attractive. to me at least, anyway.

This is NOT just a mobile phone with a good MP3 Player. It has a easy+friendly user interface, great quality of call sound, great organizer, great phonebook, great reception, and all. And the easiest and coolest file system! (its memory can be expanded with RS-MMC, so there's no need to have a huge internal memory. 20 MB is enough.)
Most of people already forgot those main things. They only care about large screens, big cameras, etc.

It's no surprise that Siemens has improved it's OS tremendously. They have to do so in order to gain back it's market share
Anyway, thumbs up for S75 & SL75 (With ATI chip in it)

To : Orange,
That's right, a lot of shops have stopped selling Siemens mobile phones in Singapore.
I expect a lot of consumers will purchase the S75 once it's available everywhere
Lots of people are waiting for this phone

Glad to see the Siemens OS have such improvement. I am waiting the release of the whole series 75. Just CX75 released in Hong Kong at September and many shops stopped selling Siemens phones right now.

To : Orn,
I'm waiting for this phone to be available in Singapore.
I'm able to tried out that prototype S75 is because there's a retailer who knows those Benq Mobile staff very well. Also, he has been supporting Siemens for more than 5 years. That's why he was able to borrow it, demonstrate it to us & let us have a feel/touch/test of it too.
That is where i have posted a mini review of prototype S75 here

If we compare S65 to Samsung D500, Siemens looks funny.
For such phone I expected to have a Symbyan OS and more important, much more built in memory just like D500.
So it is not suprising that Siemens is not any more among three most popular gsm companies.
Overall, I think it is not worth buying a mobile phone just to have a good MP3 player.
P.S.
Does anybody know what final price will be?

To : Orn,
The sound that came out from the loudspeaker on the prototype S75 beats K750i/W800i hands down completely. It's a true fact.
I have tried the phone before, seriously. That's why i have written a small review on S75

Here's my mini review of the prototype S75
1) Build quality - Plastic, same as other brand, like Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Pantech, LG etc etc..
2) User Interface - Friendly, improved a lot from those older Series (New concept, 12 Icons in Main Menu instead of 9)
3) Phone size & weight - Almost the same as Nokia 6230
4) Keypad - Easy to press, no hiccups
5) Screen size - about the same as SE K750i
6) Screen resolution - Good
7) SMS Interface - Quite similar to SE
8) Easy to access into Shortcut
9) Music player - Very good quality
10) Call volume - Can be improved
11) PhoneBook - Easy navigation, very detail (Displayed everything)
12) Able to overlap small logo onto a Wallpaper, probably no other brand is able to do that currently.
13) Call quality - Excellent
14) Menu navigation speed - Excellent, no lag at all

I have been using Nokia phones for many years. Have tried the prototype S75, i can say it's "FANTASTIC". All the features are there, sound quality, menu navigation, speed, user friendliness, RS-MMC & 1.4MP camera. Don't forget about the ATI chip too. This will be the next phone i'm grabbing :-)
But one main question : WHEN WILL IT BE AVAILABLE" ?
