What happens if you flash the Blackberry version with the non-Blackberry firmware? Do you get the memory back? Or do you wreck the phone?

Got mine from DSE too.. but wish I hadn't. Don't use Blackberry and it seems like a pain to setup. WAP's a bit hit and miss (sometimes works, sometimes doesn't). Had no trouble with USB. Only thing is you might have to restart your computer to get it to recognise the phone if it doesn't work.

Is there a way to go from the Pro (Blackberry) version to the Non-Pro version? Would prefer more than 8mb of memory.

Yes I've installed all the software and drivers. Once they are installed, my computer does not detect the phone anymore.

Dear All,
Do not press 2 keys at the same time during SMS. Typed slowly and carefully and you would enjoy it! This would freeze the screen. Removed the battery and put it back, the phone would work fine.

Thanks for that. I got the phone today for $129 at Dick Smith Electronics. I've charged it up but I can't get the thing connected to my comp to transfer files. I've connected it by usb and insalled the software it came with, but the computer doesn't detect it. Is there a special mode I have to go in from the phone? The manual doesn't say anything about the usb.

Oh, and you can still get it new & sealed with the prepaid deal for not much more on eBay Australia...

Strathfield or Dick Smith/Tandy would be your best bet. Get the sales assistant to look up which store/s still have it (if any).

Does Optus still sell this phone in Australia for $129? I've checked every and I can't find this deal. Maybe I missed out.

Holy Glitch Batman!
The SK65 has a minor glitch with its screen display routine, it is prone to freezing and flickering. To snap it out, you have to switch off the phone by pulling out the battery, be careful as this can damage the braces holding the battery.
See notes here on the glitch

Please report the feedback to make this phone work even better.
