One thing i really dislike about this phone.. is that when the phone has a connection problem due to network's signal... it makes this loud Operator-like sounds. Sad thing is, it can't be turned off, so my ears go deaf when i lose a signal.

I have that phone for a long period of time, and I think it's a very good phone. There are only two problems:MP3 tones are not being sopported and the battery characteristic are not amazing, however everything else is perfect! For example I have dropped it 2 times and nothing had happened. And the vibration is very loud- I also have NOKIA 7280, and it's vibration is too poor- I even can't feel the phone ringing in my pocket in crowded street! So the phone is perfect and I advise everyone, who has the money to buy it- you won't be disappointed!

Bought this phone with big regrets. The battery life is crap. The talk time has been reduced to about an hour. When closing the slider it shuts down the phone without confirmation at times. Had this phone for almost 2 years now and am currently looking for a new one. Nice design. Poor performance.

i bought this phone last yr.. got some problems with it... low battery life, some problems with keypad sometimes and it shuts off by itself sometimes(even with full battery).. i rate it 6/10. one thing good about this phone is: it looks cool.

Nancy, you were probably looking for the word "vibrate" so you can't figure it out. Siemens is using "Silent Alert" instead of vibrate. So go to SETUP, RINGTONES, SILENT ALERT and you will find that there are even 6 types of vibration you can choose from. Have fun!

This phone is on bargain now after so many models came out. Nice crispy sound way ahead of its direct competing models from Nokia, at par with SonyE but not greater than Samsung. Basic functions with standout Siemens organizer. Though LCD is only 65K but better under direct sunlight than my friend's sophisticated Nokia N70. Strong built but not very refined as the screws are showing once u open the slide. Battery is quite poor, only 2 days of regular use. GREAT during its release & good at present time. Recommended for budget conscious.

OK, first things first-if you buy this phone over seas and you live in the united states your going to have to purchase a U.S.A charger adapter type. The original comes with a adapter charger that is needed to be input of 240VOLTS The U.S.A standard electricity is 110/120Volts, so you have to options first one buy a voltage converter that will convert from 110/120 to 220/240 or buy a charger adapter that will work in the U.S. Now for the phone turning off on you, its because they probably sent a bad battery with your shipment because my phones original battery would say it was done charging which was a 500mah but it would turn off byitself and battery would die within hours of standby. So i bought a new battery a 600mah and it works great i get about 4hrs of tlktime. If you want to save battery life on this phone, KEEP 10% on illumination ,turn off connectivitys, turn off screen saver turn off animations, kind of defeats the purpose of having all these kool features but you gotta do what you gotta do and a 700mah battery would be best for this phone

I have had a lot of trouble with battery since using mobile phone. Can anyone tell me whether SL65 battery is good or bad (in compararison with what the manufacturer says), and how long is it.

How is the reception with this phone if anyone uses this in the US? With my old SL55, i have terrible reception unless i am in the city. I'm talkin about skyscrapers, etc. If im at home in the suburbs, my reception is 0... Any info?
