I think the problem of slide type phone is keypad size. Because it is small and located in lower side, it is very difficult to press keys when I write SMS or MMS. I think it may have same problem. No??

To Karma:
I'm thinking about this and the Nokia 6111 too.
In my opinion, I would not even think about the V6. THe finishing touches looks great, but 5mb? That's just a V551 and V560 with improved screen and shell. ITs not as thin as V3. Monochrome display? The SL75 have video ringtone, for God's sake! I'm torn between the Siemens and Nokia. Nokia's design seem a little better but Siemens seems much cooler with the extra features.

This phone looks SO nice! I wanna have it!
I don't even miss the memorycard...I'm not gonna use it as an mp3-player, because I already have my own 5gb mp3player. And just for photo's, 52mb is plenty!
10 out of 10!

If Siemens wouldn't just focus on Design...
I think thats the problem with many Phone Manufacturers, especially non-mainstream one's like Alcatel, Sendo and Philips.
Design is important, but a high-res screen is not that expensive anymore, and a Card Slot will make this phone last twice as long. I use 50 MB like this...10 MP3's and that's about it.
My GX30 (Sharp) is perfect in providing a CCD 1.0 MPx Camera, SD-Memory and Bluetooth. I got a 256 MB card, stereo headset and off one goes.
People are willing to spend some money on a quality phone, and with the great features Siemens provides, it now just needs that bit extra hardware to land back in the top 5.

It's certainly cute, and fairly distinctive too, although I'm not sure it's better looking than the SL65 that it's intended to replace, and the design seems more conservative, if anything.

The 1.3MP camera on Siemens phones have not been as good as the 1MP on Nokias up till now, so we'll see if this baby can catch up with the rest of the pack.

Having said that, this handset will come only 8 weeks or so before the wave of 2MP phones from Nokia, Samsung & Motorola, with SE and Sharp already having 2MP handsets on the market. So if, as they claim, Siemens are aiming for the top of the market they'll miss by some distance with the SL75....I'd imagine this will sell as a fashion item rather than a serious top-end phone. The lack of 3G would rule it out in any case.

Most serious of all is the fixed, non expandable memory. Once again this is an example of a manufacturer trying to rush a product out and sell it on its "key features" without giving thought to the actuale usability of those same features.

They got the design right, its a nice lookin phone, its got decent features an EDGE is always a bonus, still think the samsung D600 will be a much better fone tho.
