I have been using this phone for 1 1/2 years(bought in 01/01/05) & I dont see any reason for changing the phone,even thogh there are phones coming with 3 MP camers.It is so unique,every1 keeps staring at my phone & its got awesome features & the sound is excellent(I convert mp3s to ogg).Yes it supports 512,I think upto 1GB,but the earlier person said he uses 2GB,I am not sure about that though.

well i have this phine for abt six months and i love it,specially as a symbian os it is way better than others like 6600(my previous phone),it is much much faster than 6600,camera is very good,sound is little bit low but quality is excellent.design is grt,battery timing is excellent,dislplay is brilliant and crispy,the disadvantage is that i have lost its handsfree and in pakistan it is hard to get its orignal HS-550, because without it radio wont play

It's great and beautiful mobile set. the Menu is easy to use. It has all technologies. but the camera and video is poor in night. also I wanna does it support 512MB MMC memory stick or not?
please reply to my mail box if possible.

i really like this phone but when i accidentaly auto locked it...i can no longer use it..and nobody can repair it..help me!

an above average phone. better that n6600.
the good: it has radio and mp3 player, w/c rarely found together in other units or brand. camera is excellent for a vga type and the screen display is very good. internet access is fast but there's a lot of applications that are not compatible. phone built is excellent if not for the keypad.
the bad: it occassionaly reboot, hang and really hard to get used to keypad.
1 to 5 (five as highest) i'll rate sx1 4

Gotta Admit Siemens SX1 is the best phone i ever used , many functions and features , but the downside is the built-in 4mb memory , can't receive mp3s via bluetooth and mp3 as ringtone. but overall its a great and unique phone.

Well what can I say.... This is THE BEST Siemens phone ever, and it has some very strong sides !!! After some firmware patches this phone can work flawlessfully. I put it 2GB MMC+ card(which even doesn't work with my notebook card reader) and it worked fine. I use puppetmaster or controlfreak to control my notebook like a remote control via Bluetooth connection. Mp3 player sounds best and u can listen mp3s for 10 or more hours with one battery cycle.

This is one of the worst phones I've ever had. In the past 4 months it has been in for repairs twice and the phone is screwed up again. Everytime it is software related. I would not recomend this phone to anybody.

to scarface, answering his caveman question :
mmc = MultiMedia Card and its a kind of memory card similar to SecureDigital
brands of mmc : Transcen, SanDisk, etc
i dont know what kind of 512mb card u bought, there are various types
i havent tried 512 on a SX1, but i dont see why it wouldnt work

Hmmm, just wanted to write that if u broke or loose ur original headset, sell this phone as soon as u can, 'cause its almost impossible to find new stereo headset. Anyway, this phone is cool.
