My SXG75 supplied with 1GB from Sandisk BUT, you're not gone believe it;
The second phone which replaced the first, HALTED ALSO !!!!!
No boot again !! The same problem !!!
I returned it back and now I'm claiming my money to buy something from other manufacture.
SXG75 REALLY SUCKS !!!!
Siemens should never launched a phone with out finishing all test on it !!!

I didn't manage to use them more than 4-5 days both in my hands !!!!

It's fu#$%&.... unbelievable !!!!!

Kris, how do you know the problem with 1GB memory ? Have you tested ? My phone replaced with a new one from the service 'cause I managed to halted and no boot was able to perform. I guess maybe there is something has to do with the memory (1GB)configuration 'cause the new one is performing very slow also in boot ups and appears the same symptoms as the old.

Battery is disaster !!!! no more than 50 hours to me with normal operation !!!!

It's a base good GSM close to Smartphone but has a lot of problems on it:((
Video mode works only 5 minutes when has posibilties to be unlimit, on night picture mode has a lot problems, with flickering mode nothing different on 50/60Hz ?? also very often color in my GSM got green gama instead to be white, which means white mode option is not working well. No idea why but is not possible to use external map card for GPS system, all the time this model need connection to Internet and of course this charge a lot my currency accout (good for providers but not for me !!). Into documentation no word about how to use internal GPS in English, info written in German is very poor and not correct. There are no posibility to use repeat option on MP3 mode. I don't know why is uses Bluetooth v1.1 instead 2.0. Memory card is only up to 256Mb but is works well with 512Mb but with 1Gb, GSM start to be very unstable !!!. In documentation is written this GSM must works up to 400 hours in stendbay mode but in reality this amount of hours are only 200.
If you try to install standard Java game GSM shows a message not support into doc has full info how to use and how to install but this option is not work. Any way this GSM is better then another which I had and maybe it is a step before going to next generation of phone-pc integration.
Best regards to all

We need a music player for SXG75. The built-in- media player is really bad and doesn't support Shuffle or Repeat.

If Benq will solve this or if we have to wait for some Brew or Java Developers I don't know. But I don't want to wait for this!!!

Any ideas???

My old phone was a SIEMENS (ME45) and being very satisfied until now I decided to move on to SXG75. I won’t mention the good things but generally SXG75 is a big disappoint and I’ll tell why :
First impression out of the box was the bad and cheap feeling of the keyboard. Feels like those cheap Chinese toy-mobiles made for kids and is far away down from competition.
Using infrared port for transfer my data from ME45 was a big bad experience.
SXG75 was dropping the connection while receiving data with out any reasonable explanation. Transferring 135 records , took me many several attempts to send them all, and duplicate records was appearing on SXG75 each time I was starting the process for the beginning !!
Finally after full synchronization with MS-Outlook using bluetooth and mobile manager software from supplied CD, I managed to erase duplicates and reorganized my data. The all process took me about 4-5 hours !! I should had entered them manually on SXG75!!!
Bluetooth v1.1 is very slow for tranfering data (mp3s, jpgs etc) from PC , considering that my SXG75 was supplied with 1GB card memory. It took me about 4-5 hours for 512MB data transfer. I’ve read in some German chat rooms, many users have connectivity problems with bluetooth but personally I didn’t experienced such problems.
Battery is an other disappointment. With normal operation won’t last more than one, maximum two days, even if you won’t play with menus and other phone options, and accepting 1-3 calls per day. 1000mA is too small for such a power thirsty phone. SIEMENS do something !!!
For the end I kept the best. Two days ago after office hours, my wife noticed the mobile had shut down and in my mind the battery problem came again. Trying to restart the phone, the boot process halted and no menu was on screen ! I removed the battery, SIM card, nothing !!! The phone had died !!!
Now I’ve sent it for service (note : the phone was only 5 days in use) and if those silly problems reoccur, I’ve decided to give it away. Sorry SIEMENS but this phone was not what I was expecting !!!

I was deciding between the w900i and sxg75 also, i opted for w900 for music but if you want gps go for sxg75 but w900i can get basic gps 3thirdparty, it is possible to get third party software for this it may support flash and java it supports up to 2 gb i think mmc. You buy the maps gps seperately, so yes it will work across the world, and you cna buy third party maps aswell

Hello moritz,

I saw that you bought this phone while you live in Holland. Could you tell me if the gps works in the Netherlands? and how does it work with the routemaps of the countries?

If you like siemens phones and the phone is not comming on the market on time you just cannot switch to another ( nokia, samsung or sony ericsson ), then you are not a siemens lover. I orderd sxg75 and it works fine, the phone will not be sold in Holland, but when you order it in Germany it costs you 421 euro.
