this phone is the ultimate "tradie" phone. a lot of companies are offering this with a 3 year unconditional warranty! this means you can literally shoot, run over and completely destroy the phone and the warranty will replace it!

i work for a phone company, and this has proven to be the toughest phone ever made. who cares about features when your a tradesperson and you need your phone protected when on the job! they have run this over with a tractor, buried in cement, its splash proof, scratch proof, dust proof, can be dropped from heights, and has ringtones designed to be harsher so that they can be heard at a worksite.
out of 10: at least a 12

This thing is indestructible, it has 3 years unconditional warranty, you break it they replace it. If you want a camera buy a K850i if you want tough phone, this is the one. The more features you add the fragile it becomes.

What is this? absolutely no features. it may be shock resistant, but it is pathetic for the technology standards we have today. At least it could have a camera

Kind of looks like the Nokia and Samsung that are water/shock/dust resistant!

I've used this phone for a while, Yes, it's simple, but it's definately rugged, and in Australia, it's got a 3 year replacement unconditional warrantee.
I accidentally dropped my first one into a timber shredder when I was cleaning my yard, went into the store (crazy Johns) with the bits, and they gave me a brand new one.
Sweet!

> In reply to Turbozmej @ 2008-07-31 17:00 from mFerThere's a clear difference between Resistance and Water Proof. Resistance means it resists certain amount of water, like splashes or light submerge. And you know advertisements are always over exaggerated, unless you're too young to know that. This phone RESISTS water, dust and stuff, but it's not water, dust PROOF. Proof means it's completely safe to submerge it.

Guys, stay cautious! it is tough phone but not water resistent! Those adverts with submersed XP1 seem to give totally wrong impression. Mine died just 10 seconds after repeating one of the adverts - phone in water! Even the manual warns about that, but who reads manuals, anyway!
