I apologize for your bad experience. We constantly work on improving our phones and strive to test every single unit multiple times. Unfortunately sometimes bugs do slip through. Please email me your information and we will take care of this as soon as possible.

I have read a lot about the Sonim IP3 Quest Pro and it sounds great in many ways. But.. I have also read it´s problems with the GPS and that it doesn´t support MMS. I´m searching for a rough phone like XP3 Quest Pro, BUT with MMS and a nice GPS.

I need a rough phone in my private, I spend a lot of time in the nature.. My last phone got a little wet in the mountains so I need a rough phone.

So my question is: Does anybody know when Sonim makes a phone with good GPS, a quite good cam, and MMS. Why have a cam if you can´t send photos to friends etc..?

Hi, I really liked the look of this phone so I have ordered one on contract. The first phone I had was ok except that if you made a call via the handset there was a high pitched screech down the ear piece to the extent you can not hear the other person - the phone worked ok with hands free and with the ear phones.
I have today received a replacement phone which won't switch on.
My question is what sort of QA does Sonim have - When I phoned sonim about the first fault the guy on the phone said "yes I have heard of that before - you need a new handset" I am hoping for 3rd time lucky but am becoming increasingly fed up and will probably not recommend this phone to anyone.

I'm onto my 5th XP3. they crap. might be tough on the outside. but thats no good if phone wont turn on or just freezes up. it often shuts down in the middle of a text. And getting one fixed is a real run-around. I've just been told, as of yesterday, Mobilefone repair in NZ aren't servicing them. So where to now?????

It doesn't have many features but everything it has works 100%. The phone has perfect reception and sound from the speakers is unusually clear. If you work in construction or outdoors this is the phone for you. Battery life for me is at least 10 days per charge and I can wash the phone if I drop it in cement by accident, which has happened twice already.

This phone is not for show-offs, it is for people who want a phone that works.

If you are an office worker and want the phone to match your "OffRoad SUV" then rather get an iPhone.

I run a small company and require access to my phone and emails whilst out on site. I am currently working my way through Blackberrys like they are going out of fashion and have decided that I need to find a more suitable alternative.

The main things I need are pop3 email access, long lasting battery, web access and the ability to be dropped and bashed about!

Is this the phone for me...? and if not, can anyone recommend a suitable alternative.
Thanks!

If you’re having problems with your battery just turn off the GPS

I own a sonim XP3 and let me tell you that if you’re looking for a tough, all weather phone. This is the one. It is a very simple phone without sophisticated futures but instead it has a long life battery ( maybe the longest life battery ever).
If you want to surf on the internet, read MS office documents or else.. then you should better think in buying an HTC phone
