I read and heard a lot of bad reviews of this model. Just wondering, will Sonim somehow fix its problems or will continue selling people this obviously faulty device?

Out of the box it looped on and off. Apparently it can manage 3G and operates only on 2G
Customer service sucks. GPS can't fix the position.
Wish I didn't buy it.

Do not buy this phone if you want a long-life battery! I bought this phone because it said in the advertisement that the battery can last for nearly two months! That is not true! If you leave the phone three and turned on without using it, maybe last for six weeks (I tried it!). but if you use it daily, the battery only lasts three days! I am very disappointed with the battery!

I just realized that the battery of this phone is not as good as Sonim advertised. When I bought the phone, the battery came with a performance of only one week standby. I sent the phone to customer service one month after the purchase, and they said there is nothing wrong with the phone but gave a new battery. Now the battery last only one week long again. I am consider selling the phone. The phone is waterproof, but maybe that is the reason decreasing the battery life as well. I am disappointed with Sonim.

I do not have a XP 5300 Force 3G but have an older model the XP 3 Quest. Have had untold problems - first speaker broke, software freezing up. Replacement phone has speaker broken twice now. Various other colleagues also have Sonim phones and have experienced additional problems. not a phone make to be recommended

> In reply to Canadian Rasta @ 2012-01-18 01:40 from YYMX - click to readThe battery can last a very long time. My 5300 3g CAN LAST for over three weeks for one charge. I talk every day with it for about thirty minutes. Rogers only has 1300, so you can buy other models online such as Amazon.com. I bought mine 5300 3g ONLINE.

Will this phone work on the Rogers 3G network in Canada? Or even the 2G? I live in British Columbia and Rogers is the only selling the xp1300 Core, but I need a camera on the phone for work so I was thinking of getting either the 5300 or the 3300. Any advice would really help. Cheers!

I already sent the device back to Sonim Canada waiting for their test results. The battery may not as good as it advertises.

> In reply to Baklaja @ 2011-11-25 22:42 from Stsd - click to readhow to turn off GPS? I never turned on GPS actually. Now the battery only last for four days and I didn't even do anything costs energy. Is this normal or I should send it back under the warranty? Thank you guys! I really want to know is it my phone's problem or it is normal. The specification says the standby time is aroung 1950 hours so I assume it should last way longer than my phone does.

Just bought this phone. Everything is amazing. haven't drop it or wash it yet, but believe it can survive. The only thing I have concern about is the battery life is not as long as it advertised. Is it just mine or it is everyone?
