actaually sincerely phones that have nice features are good BUT not all people can afford, a typical example is my country,"the pearl of Africa", Uganda, when such phones reach here, they tend to make them so expensive, i mean those who import,i wish one could have an accee
for my simple CMD- J70, of recent has got a problem, it displays SIMlock, what could be the probem, is it too outdated?
Please i will be delighted if you assist me on how i can solve this problem, because for sure i can afford another!

Great Phone. But mine has suddenly a SIMLOCK.. Could you suggest something? I bought it used. It worked 1,5y just fine, then was not used, discharged fully and simlocked itself.. pity

i am using this phone for 5 years and it still works perfectly. battery lasts for 4-5 days. oh, those spacious, confortable buttons! i am so upset when i have to type an sms on a stupid nokia. golden j70 :)

Nice phone! The problem with long SMS can be solved after modified firmware downloading.
Also there are many alternative new games can be downloaded.
My wife bought it in 2001, and change it on Z710i in 2007. Now it is worked with modified firmware and used by my mother-in-law.

I got this phone in 2002, and I still use it! Battery still lasts 4 days.
I'll change it these days as it can't receive sms longer than 160 characters; instead I receive two empty messages.

I had my sleek sony J70 not long ago. Honestly, it became difficult getting it. I like the ring tones, the games and most importantly the saving number capacity - 500 numbers! The world clock and the high number of network list put the phone on top of others. With the outside speaker it becomes convenient when talking for a long time. However, I became highly disappointed when I realised that it wasn't GPRS configured. Does that mean I cannot make use of the WAP? Somebody help me!

I have onething, l used it feel good, but vibrate is not good, it's so easy, it's not hard or musle, so i'm always have miss call when i went out.So if it become better it'll become a good and hot cell.

absolute rubbish, i had this phone when it first came out, kept locking up randomly or switched its self off, took it back to comet 3 times, each time they gave me a new one and they did exactly the same. The phone also felt incredibly cheap, especially the back panel, was it inspired by "my first phone" For £120 i think they could have used better plastic. The screen was nice in its day, with the 3 tone grey scale, and the fancy animation, nice sound quality on the ringtones. But it wasnt anywhere near loud enough. Could barely hear it ring in your pocket and why couldnt it vibrate and ring at the same time? it would only vibrate on silent. Haven't bought a sony phone until recently because this phone was just so poor, worst phone i've ever had. In the end i swapped it for a nokia 3330 which was the exact same price and superior in every way it actually counted. Sure it lacked the polyphonic ring tones and fancy screen. But at least it was usable and never once froze, and i treated it like crap.
