i have a cmdj70.except for its low volume and incompatibility to download the general range of picture messages and ringtones available with nokia,i am proud of my cellphone.

Real Sony cmd j70 dimensions is 113 x 44 x 21 mm - NOT 133 x 44 x 21 mm.
To lock and unlock press Center Key and then "#".
To use POP3 and SMTP email facility your provider must provide you dialup number, user name and password, DNS server address. Provider should enable data transfer service. Also you should know adresses of your POP3 and SMTP servers.

I have very recently purchased a Sony CMD J70, from a reputable retailer here in Sofia, Bulgaria. I cannot get the full benefit from my new telephone because I cannot source an instruction book in the English language, (Italian or French)! I would be very gratefull if you could email me information on where to download the instruction manual in English.

well my friend ,there are some enhancements on j7o(in comparison to j5).
1.More sms can be stored.
2.more meomery for sheduler.
3.a louder loudpeaker(speaker phone)
4.and a much better battery life(upto 5 days).
and most importantly the size is much smaller to j5.
a j5 cant be kept in the pocket,but a j70 can .

Nice phone.... WAP access an' all that Jazz. The polyphonic ringer and the fact that its really light make it a winner. However Nokias are more intuitive toi use and the games are far better. Frankly I would have preferred sony to come up with some other use for the processor space they've devoted to the crappest games i've ever seen. Yes I know its only a phone... but if you're going to bother putting a feature on make it worth it! Also the lack of freedom in creating phone groups sucks... I don't have golf or ski friends, I need to be able to make my own groups, using my own names for them. Hey... how about using the space taken up by crap games to provide this?! :o)
