1)Well, it's a good pda with affortable price in my country. Most of the time, i saw windows mobile were very expensive in my place. It has a sd memory card slot for me to put in sd's memory card.
2) It has gps.
3) I usually charge the battery using my pc or laptops.
4) It has microsoft office and Adobe reader. I use it for studying purposes like puttting in lecture slides in pdf format. I use mic office for diary when bored. Easily carried anywhere I want. It's good.
5) multi functions with qwerty keyboards and touchscreen. good that the keyboards are not using slides.
6) can switch panels.
additional: it has stock exchange software.
like: the design & size of the handphone. not too bulky.
problem or issues:
1)When I first bought it, i switch into the camera and it lags at the camera welcome icon screen. But then, when I Reboot it, then it's fine already. Is it because it's a new phone and newly developed software?
2)Sometimes i go to the file explorer and that I want to access my sd card icon. then it's not there only then i reboot then it appears.
3)i play some ringtones from the sounds the notification settings. Especially when I press the red button(cancel call) from the qwerty keyboard to stop the sound. Some of the ringtones can be heard again when I try to play them. Only then I reboot, then the ringtones is restored.
4) I can't open pdf files in encrypted format. It doesn't support.
can I switch off the camera sound?
can I switch off the sound especially when deleting notes?

I've just used this sony ericsson aspen about two months, and yesterday the life of mybattery problem.. My battery hp left only for 34% But then it has been mentioned my battery low and suddenly it turns off himself and have to be charged.. Why is taht happen to my handphone?
QUOTE:"Dude its a cool device for a PocketPC, the RAM is 256MB, after power ON 185MB is available."
256MB/185MB available? Are you sure about that? Perhaps you mistook Aspen for another one? I'm told the accessible RAM is less than 50MB.
QUOTE: "And you call 600 MHz processor pitiable ? tell me atleast one Win Mo 6 device having a faster processor and better RAM than this one, you wont find one. "
Currently I own an HTC HD2 (WM6 device) and it's equipped with 1GHz CPU, 448MB RAM. It's the first/only WM phone that I'm happy with in terms of performance speed. But it freezes quite often and I miss phone calls more than often!!! :(
Also I had HTC Max4G (528 GHz CPU and 288MB RAM). Gees, applications such as Lingvo worked quite slow on it.
600GHz CPU is rather good for other OS, but for the monstrous Windows Mobile, it doesn't seem enough to me. However, I'm told Aspen has built-in, well-tuned SPB Shell and thanks to its small resolution screen, it runs quite well on small RAM...
Sooner or later I'll switch to Android, but the charming QWERTY on Aspen really attracts me.
Can't seem to charge the phone. The battery IS low but when i connect it to charge it wont charche! also trying to reset the phone or turn it on it, but doesnt turn on, the screen just blinks and when i leave it for a while then it turnes on by his own but even though the phone is connected to the charger an instant msg pops out saying Battery is extremly low....Shut down immediately! and it goes off -.- Any thoughts on how can i get my phone working? please help :)

LeChat, 22 Feb 2011Hi, I'm thinking of purchasing this phone for sake of the beautiful QWERTY. Can anyone please... moreDon`t worry, applications running smoothly on Aspen, because Aspen have small resolution screen and processing power is needed in small quantity.

OK there are occasional lags like once in a fortnight or a month, but that is inherent to Android and Symbian also, Above all this one has got a seamless MS Office 2010 support which is still a dream for Droids and Symbians, and cut/copy/paste feature is still a future update for Win 7.
LeChat, 22 Feb 2011Hi, I'm thinking of purchasing this phone for sake of the beautiful QWERTY. Can anyone please... moreThis indeed is quite a good phone. it has accessible ram of around 185MB. after turning on the device, the free ram is around less than 30. but after it idle for quite a while it is possible to get free ram of slightly over 30MB for my set.
Hi, I'm thinking of purchasing this phone for sake of the beautiful QWERTY. Can anyone please tell me, how many MB RAM is left right after power on?
I've been using WM6 for years, and several programs are vital to me, e.g. Lingvo & SlovoEd dictionaries, Inesoft, SPB time, etc., but I'm really worried that those applications cannot run smoothly on Aspen (with pitiable 600MB CPU and 100MB RAM)
Please share your opinions. Thank you!!
Methusiah, 20 Feb 2011umm can i ask how long does your full charged battery life lasts?? thanks very much for your r... moreif i used it a lot, it last about 2 days. if i keep it idle with few calls and sms, 3 days. erm, i read somewhere since it is an li-po battery, do not drain before charge unlike ni-mh. also, restarting seems to drain around 2% of battery for my set.
