digital zoom is when the picture itself is enlarged in order to bring and object closer to view(zoom in)and it results in loss of clarity.This is the zoom in majority of cell phones.useless in cell phones .
Optical zoom is when the lenses move to change the focal length in order to bring the object closer without loss of clarity.this is present in few new cell phones and is present in digital cameras too.

What do u mean by digital zoom? Coz ive heard that this C702 has 2x digital zoom.
