My C902's bluetooth went down after 1 week. When the bluetooth hardware was replaced, I went to the shop to pick up my phone. Then it won't open, no power! They had to bring it back to the main office to have the motherboard checked. If still down, they'll replace it but usually takes 2 weeks for replacements... gggrrr!!!

yep dese new sony ericssons phones are really buggy. i deal phones u knw sell em n stuff. all da latest sony ericssons phones releasing dis now are faulty plus sony are sacking upto 2,000 employees so to get a software update for the phone may come late or might not be up to standards coz they are having trouble with there loss.

I've had this phone for 2 months now and am finding it really frustrating. It crashes when viewing pics, the battery doesn't last very long and accessing contacts etc through the menu is very slow. Definitely not as good as previous Sony Ericssons I've owned. I'm actually considering using my old phone and giving the C902 away.

I posted about Menu being slow and Music Stutter in previous post.
I took it into SE and got it fixed now (BTW, is ridiculous how many ppls is at the center waiting for repairs. I waited 1.5 hrs just to collect my fone)
My new firmware is R2CA037
I think the version i had was the R2CA033 which was causing all the music stutter and slow menu.
Now everything runs smooth and much faster even camera menu comes out quicker and much more responsive.
So find the upgrade firmware if you can.

Well I've had mine for a bit now and I don't get any freezing at all. Maybe the 902i has a slightly different firmware than the 902.
Either that or there have been updates released that get rid of those bugs.
Awesome phone!
I recommend it. This has GPS in it, you just gotta get an attachment for it. Google Maps is on it and its pretty sweet.

> In reply to Tobias @ 2008-07-14 10:32 from miLHAbout 40 days ago, my Vodafone cellphone went dead from too many bangs. Having grown up with Sony products, I visited the SE website & decided to get the W910i(very good design). I believe that since I am no technie, W910i should meet my needs.Indeed, W910i is a wonderful phone if you are young & have good hearing. I found it wonderful when I was indoors but once I was on the busy streets, I was rendered incommunicado. So before I purchased the second phone this time,I checked the various forums, visited various phone shops & decided on the C902.
During the first few days of ownership, I really wondered whether SE had been hiring people to write wonderful reviews for them & inserting bail photos. For I found the camera of this C902 perform worse than my ancient Panasonic DC Lumix FX7.Thank God the walkman is comparable to my previous W910i. Of course, the earpiece volume, ringing tone & speakerphone are loud enough when set on the highest setting.
As a retired individual, I just could not afford to buy 3 phones within 2 months(W910i, C902 & ?), so I decided to experiment with the camera. A few hundred photos later(I have all the time in the world),I discovered that the camera is actually comparable to my ancient 5MP Panasonic Lumix. Here are my comments:
1 Photos taken outdoors & indoors(macro & infinite) are sharp, natural, not blurry at all & with fine color reproduction. When I blow the photo up on my computer screen just showing my cat's head, I can practically see the individual hairs. It's that sharp.
2 However, even up to today, I cannot take an acceptable photo when using the flash outside the 6'-8' range(8': very dim)
3 The more I zoom, the blurrer my pictures.
As regards the battery life, I am charging daily. But if my W910i experience is anything to go by, the battery life should improve as time goes by.
I am very glad I've got the time to experiment with every aspect of this phone. If I were still in the workforce, I would have pronounced this phone rubbish long ago. Now I am very happy about C901 except for the small screen. But then, life is full of compromises, isn't it?

Hope this helps.
