But, for me the small screen is already a turn down. 2˝screen when 2.4 is available without any dimension increase (practically) is a big mistake. I prefer the 43% screen area increase.

Do not forget, this is not a 200 USD phone!!!!!
(what it should be!)

This is the best review I have read so far. Finally someone who understands what this phone is all about = HOT !

http://www.coolest-gadgets.com...on-c902-hot/

All the other reviews, based on prototypes, which have spent hours on the camera and little details that will be fixed before the official release should not be taken seriously. Honestly, I have played with many prototypes and the difference can be quite surprising when the commercial model is out.

> In reply to qman @ 2008-06-05 14:19 from PGcXI do not want to make SE make better phones - I just wish :)

I mostly agree with you - everyone should do their own homework!

As fas as people who does not own the phone should not make comments:

It is totally foolish argument:
1: C902 is not available most places, or any
2: SE fans jamming forums like XPEDIA X1 etc. the phone for sure not available anywhere!!!!!!!!!

We all can have opinions, write or wrong about anything - not released phones included.

The idea that I can influence people ridiculous - especially when the same people keep saying that nobody cares about my opinions, etc.

everyone is bias, every review is bias, do your own research. so sure check out some reviews but keep that in mind as your doing so... buy the phone that suits you and that YOU are happy with.
Im not disagreeing with Mstl BUT they way you are doing it is wrong!..if u really want SE to make better phones GO TO SE AND TALK TO THEM!!! as i said the only reason i can think that you constantly come back is...u aint not nothing better to do...so sad

> In reply to Pepsi @ 2008-06-05 11:03 from v0gjPepsi,

I am not here to spread lies.

I do not recommend here any other brands.
(that is a fact)

I do not bash any brand! I just critic and say my views.

I have said before the K850i is a relatively good phone - the last good phone by Se I think. It was certainly good when it came out.

Recently, Se dropping the ball. I wish they could make better phones.

I would like to see more competition.
Unfortunately the market growing fast and companies spoon feed us with the technology.

For example: few quad phones available, slowness with increase of screen size
(2˝and 2.4 ˝ 43°differencs while thephone siye almost identical)

They keep the price up - especially the introductory price. For example, the W890 came out for 500USD street price - in 6 week dropped 35%! That is almost a crime. Corporations punishing the fans! 6 weeks is nothing.

SE customer service and reliability another issue. But I guess you know it better than I do.

SE phones (recent) break down very often.
While the old ones still good!

I suggest to everybody to see the unit, try it, and only then buy it.

My problem with the C902:
- small screen for the price (over 200USD)
- lousy camera
- poor button design

what I like about it:
- thickness
- quad
- 5mp camera good idea (if it would work fine)

The C902 is good for only one thing - making calls. For this price on this market I think that is not enough.
You decide!

> In reply to [deleted post]I work for a phone shop and I sell phones, we need this website so we can familiarise ourselves with the handsets we sell.
And I know I work very hard, thx for reminding me. I work by myself because it's a quiet shop hence why I am on here instead of serving people.

But back on topic, SE are very popular phones... For a while we didn't sell any Samsungs or motorolas, just Nokias and SE's. The main phones I reccomend to people are either Nokias or SE's they are value for money

Why, oh why, is there not a North American 3G band version? This phone is exactly what I want, but for that one serious flaw. :-(

> In reply to [deleted post]You own a samsung and (I guess not SE) argue here for hours?

Enjoy your Samsung. :)

After all Samsung sells more phones than SE!

Yes, prototype but the problems listed can not be fixed besides the camera - that is the reason they left the camera out from the conclusion.

I hope SE will fix the camera.

By the way, besides the small screen and the lack of Wifi there is a one good thing about this phone - at least a quad phone.

Let´s see the final product until then this is a big lemon!

Getting back to C902!

Only few in-depth independent review is available:

The camera suppose to be horrible!

But read it for yourself (conclusion):

˝ If we don’t take the camera into consideration (as it is worthless for the time being) I have to say that C902 is not what I expected. I don’t really find much sense in the touch-sensitive buttons; the numeric keys are strange, so, once more, we cannot say that it’s a real innovation, I personally find K850i as a perfect replacement for this model. Of course the metal case is a good thing, assembly quality is great, but I don’t know if this will be enough nowadays. You can start throwing your stones, but C902 gets no award from me. ˝

Yes, SE fans - it may look good, but no substance!

And with all SE phones - the reliability another issue - We find out only after a few months of usage.

everybody is fighting.
stop this.
leave the nokia fans suck the glory with their precious 2.4 inch, 16 million color, all-in-one multimedia device.
and leave the SE fans live a simple life with their high-quality, and good looking phones(not like the n78, n81, n82, n96)
