Sony Ericsson C902 - user opinions and reviews

Sony Ericsson

I will go to buy a C902 as soon as he will be launched. The size of the display interests little me. I live in Brazil and am a common man.

I have a good question to ask now for the people on this forum (including you if you wish):

Is there any 5M pixel camera that you think is more stylish than the C902?

> In reply to [deleted post]All you need to bare in mind is that for some people the screen size is not as important as the design or other features the phone might have. The guy who said the screen size difference between 2" and 2.4" is absolutely right (visually not in %). However, 2" vs. 3" is SIGNIFICANT, yes!

I know what you are going to say: "43% area increase in VERY SIGNIFICANT (for me)" right??? Well, good for you...I respect your opinion and you should do the some with all the people on this forum.

Trying to force your opinion by always repeating the same facts over and over again is just making me want to buy this phone twice :)

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-06-08 19:45 from 0dxGYes it is better. The G900 only has photolight whereas the C902 has PhotoFlash (very close performance to Xenon) and can be used in continuous mode while shooting video.

I would go for the C902 if I were you. I am getting it next week :)

Is the C902 camera BETTER than G900? I can't decide which one to get. Looking primarily for a good camera phone, but extra features don't hurt either :)

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-06-08 17:51 from mstLThanks Mstl for admiting that:

"Of course, you are always correct" ("you" being me). It's a shame I thought you would keep figthing the Nokia cause here!

Another good point actually: Where is that EXPERT of yours who keeps bashing the C902?

Send us the link please, I want to read it!

PS: I think the C902 is way better than the K850...It is more elegant and has better features. But I guess elegance is not important for a Nokia fan since if the phone is not at least 17mm thick then there is no point in getting one, right?!

> In reply to [deleted post]I consider cheap phone - less than 300USD
And that is very generous.

For most people 300 USD is not for a cheap phone.
You do not have to be a genius to know the C902 will be released for more!!!!

So, do not play games here that it is not released and no price set yet.

The buttons are foolish and that is not just my opinion but also an Žexpert˝(?) reviewer opinion.

BTW, you are not the only person who could use this phone in the past.

I know you may work for.... but there are many other ways ....

What obvious to you it may not be obvious t others or not true at all - but you like to label people I guess. And you also like to tell what others think or feel. Of course, you are always correct.

And yes, by quoting me the C902 will be better and cheaper, more reliable :)))

So keep quoting me, you can really push sales by that.

Now, I give you my bottom line:
(I have written several times to all)

I suggest to all, before you buy any phone try it - if you still like it, go ahead I do not care, buy 2, 3 ,or 50.

The rest is just for conversation :)
and pay attention: I have never recommended anything but SE, and I have written that the K850i was a good phone and still the best SE - unfortunately none of the new phones live up to its standards.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-06-07 21:11 from mstLI strongly disagree. Once again, do not judge a phone before having seen or used it.

Have you seen the C902 for real or just through web sites?

I saw it and played with it, and believe me it is a fantastic phone and most of the people you will buy it won't care about the screen size (which is decent in my opinion) or the WiFi (completely useless if you have a laptop like most business people). They go for the UNIQUE slide-out lens design, Cyber-shot branding, build quality and the great features the phone offers (HSDPA, Quad band, touch sensitive buttons, 5M camera, continuous light in video mode, 10.5 mm thin, bestpic etc.). For me that's more than enough and the price is justified!

Come back to this Forum when you try the phone, then say whatever you want. Until then watch your language.

> In reply to lol_maker @ 2008-06-07 17:49 from myQcYES, by the end of 2009 I may change my mind about Se phones but for NOW I think SE going in a different direction - SE makes worst phones than ever - taking the market and level of technology at the time of release!

K850i was better a year ago.
And I have seen some other old SE phones they were better.

The fact that this overpriced piece of... has only 2˝ screen and no WIFI is more than enough NOT to buy it!!!!

By the way, what is your current phone? Just curious...

hey mstl?? nokia needs some competition?? i think you forgot something mate.. once again.. and i quote, in comparison with the N82... 'G900 seems to be a better option as long as the camera functionality / overall functionality ratio is concerned'

and that was with the prototype mate.

:)

Or SE can get out of the phone business! :(

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-06-07 15:22 from mstLI believe SE can become number 3 by the end of 2009. It was number 4 in Q4 2007 and LG just got to 4th place.

I agree with the reliability problems. They have had problems unfortunately which has led them to lose Market Share but they are revising their strategy. Honestly, they can impress and get back to number 4 and then number 3!!! Stay tuned for more exciting news :)

> In reply to lol_maker @ 2008-06-07 15:00 from myQcYes, I agree SE can be better - but not with the W890 or C902 - unless they will sell then for less than 250 USD.
(and they fix the reliability problems!!!)

The problem with your argument is that SE do not gain market share but LOOSES!!!!
While others gaining big time: one company gained over 50% !!!! market share and passed SE big time!!!!

At best, SEś dream is that Se becomes the 4th!!!! that is the Dream !!!! (by SE executives and SE market analyzers!!!!)

The XPEDIA X1 the only phone left we have tech data and that will be an expensive phone - can not make a huge difference as far as market share change!!!

I wish it will be a great phone - we need some competition!!!!!!
