hello
i use this phone for some downloads, music, big files. i believe the phone, have a problems, because after some much download, 1gb/2gb in data, this phone work slow, bluetooth not turn on, folder with aplication&games is: empty. All phone is a recyble bin, microcroprocesor, is creeated from paper, pets and other, for only greenheart?

"Communication failure.secure connection failed"

Most people get this message when trying to logging Facebook (or Myspace lol; not tried logged Google + yet) on Internet browser or Widget. Actually that is not 100% Elm's fault. Facebook already changed new Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate for log in which is not supported on this phone. But depends on region whether you're live in Africa, Asia, Europe etc. If you're lucky you still can log in on facebook using internet browser. The Widget also using same certificate as internet browser so it is the same thing.

That is two solutions for this issue.

1) Use Opera Mini or;
2) Use UCweb

Opera mini can be used on WiFi but need to have APN a.k.a Internet Profile. I think someone on this user opinion already told how to make it done.

Please corrected me or make an up-to-date info if I'm wrong or giving misinformation regarding this issue. But based on my knowledge, this is the main reason. If all information are wrong, I am so Sorry.


After 3++ years using this phone, (including changing broken Fastport due to water enter in it because I'm stupid enough not keep it inside bag when riding scooter on rain and changing cover to pink) I'll say it is one of the last and best Sony Ericsson phone before Xperia (and its alphabets) invasion. Even do now I'm using HTC One X (and gave my SE Elm to my mum. That's explain why I'm changing cover to pink) but sometimes if I missed this phone I'll change my phone with my mum (My mum hate One X.. too big for her..)

UPDATE: If you're Fastport broken, not only can't charging up or listening to headset, you also cannot using GPS and WiFi signal will be crappy (showing 1 bar signal at full signal WiFi area)

I have had this phone for over 3 years now (february) an i must say i tested it in any way possible.dropped it several times on the floor on the concrete etc .only cracked the display in the left top corner(does not affect the display much).the battery still has much power.lasts 2 days with average use.little use and you shold not be worried for about 5 days.I'm happy with it and i would be upset if i lost it or destroyed it beyond repair.It's cheap and worth every penny

I'm using this fone from 3 years. I've been accessing my twitter, facebook account using OperaMini. But when I tried logging IN from built in app it says service unavailable. I tried updating my fone OS, but still same problem. Need immediate help

It has many good features such as smart search, Wifi, GPS& good video camera etc. But it would best if with front secondary camera & camera with digital zooming facilities

Main drawbk front camara is not.
Video plyr is small width.
Digtal eye light automatic.can't turn off.
No photo editor.
Some times can't work in sounds.
Charge port is difficult to attached at charge.
Theme can't set at any file.
Totally it's worst phne. when compare to j105 naite mob.

this chit hasnt front cam,
If you seen dot was light sensor (for auto brightness adjust of keypad and display)
However you can videocalling by rear cam. Wtf!

I swear this phone will be with me till I graduate.
Here is the remedy for the only problem of this phone(charging without storing battery).
1. The charger is not the problem. 2. The charging point is not the problem.
3.the phone is the problem.
Solution.
After plugging ur phone, wait for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes if not storing battery remove the charger from the socket and plug again. Repeat it until it starts storing battery. When charging ur phone always press the volume bottom while in standby. That's all

I'm using this phone for more than a year. I also faced that problem(charging) you can solve it by cleaning the connectors of battery... You can use patrolium for this perpose and always charge your phone in turn off mode it will increase your battery life...

> In reply to [deleted post]It also happened to me. U will get the solution in its manual which is in settings menu. Just remove the battery, clean the connectors to which the battery is connected in the phone or may your battery be not tightly fixed. Remove it and fix it tightly. Then charge it.

I Have had my Sony Ericsson Elm for 3 years. I bought a Blackberry Bold 9700, and an IPhone 4. While i love the other two phones the Elm is just as good (if not better)i gave it to my Daughter instead of getting her a Blackberry or IPhone and she loves it. it allows her to do everything the others will do appart from the apps. i would recomend the Sony Ericsson Elm to anyone-a top phone. *****star..
