i think u guys shud go to the link tat DMX provides, the other color matching looks nicer, whr i think this color doesnt seems so attracting also, but those in the link are fine.
i think those ppl who dont like this phone shud judge it by its appearance, normally a not tat good looking phone will only cost a little, like N6260, how much do u think it will be? im fr malaysia, guess wat, N7610 cost RM2399, where SE K700 cost only Rm1999, BUT, doesnt mean tat 7610 is better, cost it doestnt hav Infra Red, and as DMX mentioned, the "mega pixel" Nokia seeling is not even better than SE K700's digital VGA camera. & 7610 has NO preinstalled games, my god!
so, how do u guys think? & yea, if for those guys who really wan alot of mp3 u can play, go get urself a mp3 player, if u still wan to play mp3 in ur phone, then just c how long can ur battery last, ok?

AQMD, if you want a real mp3 player, get iPOD.This phone wasn't made so you can listed to your mp3 collection. I say if the price of this phone is around $250, this'll be a hit!

Hey guys .. i was an SE fan till now..now i changed my mind..guess y?...SE made a big mistake!! guess?10 mb internal!!good..but no external ..so crap!!And plus mp3 player..this phone only 4 nerds who only like 2 music songs only..cuz every song 3-4mb..lol..this phone suxsss!

hi guyz i just want to ask that y only nokia is providing html browser y dont others i really miss html browser in all other phones like samsung se moto panasonic siemens alcatel etc
i dont like nokia mobiles

It's not the design that puts me off, it's the colour scheme...red and blue just don't go together imo.

For the link, make sure there is no space after the ".../sonyeric" as it is an error.. so it should say
"..age/sonyeric/k500/...."

AS for my rating:
Design
7-the front is alright, just that the back is ugly
Feature
9-it has everything the k700 has minus bluetooth, and this will be priced at about 200euros...
Performance
8-it's not a high end phone, but does have new stuff, only lacks larger memory and nicer screen (mind you, 128x160 64k TFT is good for a phone this price)

Perhaps they will market it as a phone for minors - the way I see it the only possible way SE would consider such a ugly design was to cut costs and sell it to a much more younger audience. Pre-pay perhaps for children?

this phone irritates me. It's horrible and i should say sony ericsson rushed to ease competition but it seems they have made a big mistake in doing so. They are probably lagging behind now. I think they should have taken more time in creating a more attracrive design and then this ugly duckling would have been a cracker. Maybe it's just the color (blue) and the vodafone red which don't coincide or it's just me being too picky. But then this phone ain't so bad. It's features are rather modern and updated. I would buy this phone for convenience not for fashion. Anyway, it's just a thought from me, the mystichrome

Hey, the design so similar to K700, 'cept that this one is uglier and worse.
The retail price will justify though.

F500i is the Vodafone model, which yes, looks terrible...
The K500i on the other hand looks MUCH better. Links are as following.

And for a lower range phone, it's very good. 10mb, vga, IR, 3d Java, Mp3....
