For all those who are having hang & restarting problems, here is the solution to update to R1FA037 from R1FA031

all instructions are given here with many sites to download update files (all are correct & easy to use)...

I have been using this handset since 5months, it's a kind of pain when ur on line or working on it wil get restarted and sometimes it wil hang...is there any solution for this!

The quality of the body of G502 does not seem to be good. The plastic looks fine but not at all strong. If you drop it hard on a surface, you will end up with a broken display panel (inside). This is for SE G502 made in China. I am not sure about the product from other countries.

Hi All,
I bought this mobile 6 months ago.I got fedup with the restart problem .Its often restarting suddenly (Even while on calls as well).I have took it to the service center.They have upgraded the software.But still the problem is not solved yet....I donno.I agree that the cam quality and sound quality is good.

My almost new G502 restarts automatically at times when I switch between menus. I don't think the quality is good. Also, the sound quality and camera quality are not good. Better look for alternatives.

My G502 suddenly developed a white mark on it display panel. After few days, the speaker has stopped working. When I took it to Authorized Service Center Accel Front Line Ernakulam, they said it caould not be repaierd under warranty. I am moving to Consumer Court. If you are buying this phone or any SE mobile in India, service could be a problem.

i really like this model and the features as well,,it has a complete package which a cp unit should have..i am not experiencing any problems regading texting,calling,listening musics and using these phone..For me these is great!

hai friends. This mobile is often not restart r hanged. When u using more than capacity of memory, that time only it will take restart r hang. otherwise, it'l working nice only....

upgrade your firmware to R1FA037 and upgrade your cam & accoustic SW !! no more restarting,u can make video call,flash menu,better camera pic,and loud + clear music output!

> In reply to Julius Fernandes @ 2009-10-19 22:40 from 2S$9This is due to the marketing problems dude..se handsets sold in india ve this problem..whereas mobiles from other countries r working good..they dont restart themselves..i had a se w580 bought in dubai n it worked well..its not due to virus or any crap as they say in service centres..they just ignore this prob which s a common complaint in al se phones bought in india..if u wanna buy se phone get t from someone who s abroad.:-)

When i gave it to the service center they say its a virus in the phone, asked them to check if there is a virus, but they say no as they cant check it. I dont feel its a virus probllem but its a phone problem as this later happened to me as soon as I got the phone back after resetting the phone. They are now replacing my board which makes no sense i Feel they should give me another handset and check the faults in this phone.
