I have had this phone for about 2 years now. I wouldn't reccommend it to anyone. It keeps shutting down all by itself, sometimes up to 5-6 times a day. Sometimes the sound suddenly goes off as well. The battery is a piece of sh.t, you have to re-charge it every single day (and I am not much of a talker...).
Zero points in my scorebook.

I have this phone for a year now, with just r1fa031 firmware. I was not able to update to r1fa037 and now my phone kept on re-starting by its own. how will i change it to r1fa037 using the built in software update if it keeps on re-starting? is it possible to have this updated without damaging or losing my contacts and other information saved on the phone since i do not have any m2 memory attached? please advise....

m using dis phn for d last 1 yr, yes it have d prob of restarting bt it cn b avoidd easily. i do not fully fill my mem card n its done. in its range believe me, 1 cant get d features it hv. camera quality is far better dan dat of nokia 3.2mp cameras. wid nyt mode on camera works smoothly in evening n in dim lyt also. screen resolutn is very nice too. battery back up is of 2 days of use which is more dan enough. sound quality is best, wid mega bass on i can experience d sound equivalent 2 walkman phones. This is d best phn for me i hv ever used....

my phone already has software R1FA037. bt even nw its hanging and getting restarted. so what should i do now.

Updating the software is a bit like formatting your hard drive on your pc and re-installing everything. It can make everything work well while it's in a clean state. But eventually after more use the same problems start again.

i have been using this phone for more than a year and a half. it has an awsome picture zooming capacity. quite honestly this is the only phone in its price range that can zoom into a picture taken from an slr camera. its java is quite good. the web support is excellent. for a 256k colour display its really good. its a nice phone but if you want something better from sony ericsson for a price little higher go for sony ericsson naite.

g502 is a good phone, but the headset is easy to dislocate when you're moving thats why im so annoyed. Anyone who recommend the best type of headset for g502?

I didn't face much problem from this phone.Its a good phone for those who r looking for mobile internet.

All ure problem long time ago are fixed
just dont use r1fa031
it fist fw and full of bug...
Just upgrade to r1fa037...
Use internet to search how to do that...

It is phone with poor performance. It often gets switched off and restarts automatically. I am using it for 2 years.My mobile is facing software problems. It cannot install new gprs settings. It often shows inactive sim. And it has lot of problems.

in the middle of usage it switches off and restarts after long gap. switch off and switch on is also very slow. audio is very low.
