Dont read 2 much these comments most are biased. Listen to people who own the mobile like me.
Can this phone multitask? I mean can i play browse the web and listen to music at the same time, or play a game or do something else?
Applewei, 16 Nov 2008I have had this phone for one week now, and i already consider to sell it... It's not that slo... moreyou know you can turn off the features for the tone wen u click on the keys, and what are you talking about, the quality of the sound is great.
your standards are to high for a $200 phone.
We need a better features than W series.G502 is not satisfying upto my expectations.(for my frnds )Better struck in wseries don't move to G502.>
I have had this phone for one week now, and i already consider to sell it... It's not that slow as i thought it would be, but the sound quality is veryyy poor! Messaging interface is not nice, and it makes noisy when i press on the keys, thats annoying. The handset is light, which makes it feel like cheap, at least thats what i think.
yamasaki, 13 Nov 2008G502 no have video camare . . .in this google maps is preloaded
Is it somehow possible to switch off those G or E (it depends does the phone use classic gprs or edge) from upper left corner on the screen?
i bought this phone 2 months ago and it sucks. it hangs or crashes literally everyday. i'm actually getting used to it. the phone is also VERY slow! especially when searching for contacts. if you are in a rush in composing an sms, goodluck! sending messages to groups also causes this thing to crash. sometimes, there's no reason at all. the silver keypag chips off too which is very annoying as it makes your phone look old and worn off. I'm a fan of sony ericsson but now i'm having second thoughts about it. I've heard that their new phones hangs a lot more frequently nowadays.
Anonymous, 27 Oct 2008No problem on the keys anyone?the only problem i had with the keypad is that the pain of the silver keys chips of. it's very annoying actually.
I have had this phone a week and it has great reception. The only problem im having is it turns off by itself. It has a lot of features, Im going to keep it.
The phone looks good, has nice features, nice camera, good mp3 player and radio with RDS. BUT there is one HUGE problem: the battery is very very SUX. It'lasts only one day max (10min talks, 10pictures, no radio, no mp3 used)!!! I am feeling f**ked up :(
I am a Sony Ericsson Fan. I bought G502 as a temporory replacement for my P1i which was in the service center for some time. Overall the phone is good except for some problems.
1. Good looks
2. Light (atleast as compared to P1i)
3. Decent functions, good media player and fast
4. Value for money
1. Colour of the keypad (chrome colour) goes off in a week or so
2. Off late the phone switches off on its own
3. When I get a call i click the Receive button, the call is disconnected and the caller receives a busy tone.
I think i will have to visit the service center again.
My previous experience with Sony Ericsson phones has been really good. P1i and G502 has given me lot of problems. I wish these dont continue in future.
I think video clarity is the highlight. Using xillisoft video converter with ipod normal settings (320*240) its awesome. Supports 25 fps playback.
Camera has the Photofix function too. its an added advantage.
Walman has the album art, landscape mode, sterio widening, megabass and video resume too.
The only disadvantage I found is the camera doesn't have autofocus.
Battery backup is OK.
Its a Multi tasking phone. you can run multiple games at a time and you can minimize them and start mediaplayer.
