> In reply to thegame @ 2008-07-11 03:05 from YaPtDisclaimer :

I was using M600 for a couple of years before deciding to buy this G700, so I'm rather familiar with the OS beforehand.

Having said that, I really like this phone, it really feels like an upgrade from my previous M600, not just coz of the camera etc, but the new OS is better too.

Haven't really use the touchscreen that much yet, the 5 ways button and the 2 other extra keys below the screen really help in navigating the menus.

For txting, I prefer using the touchscreen with the stylus, this is pretty much the main reason I'm staying with UIQ3 phones atm.
For me, it's really faster using the stylus to write down messages rather than using the keypad. Then again, maybe it's just me :p

Bottom line is (for me anyways) this is a really good phone for everyday use, with some extra thrown in for business uses and multimedia.

Very good value for the price for me.

Yes, you can set different ringtones to different names in your contact list

No, I don't think you can use vidclip as ringtones (at least I havent been able to find it yet :p)

I brought this mobile last week and am totally satisfied with its performance so far. Its operations and all are extreamly diff from the K or W series and so took little time to get know it. and whnever u receive a file/song/picture thru bluetooth, this is aking where to save, when u click view. and u can easily download .utz files for the themes and it supporting all most all sound format. n however.. it lacks auto focus function and the shortcut keys for playing music.. still this one is good...

The phone looks really nice. But the only problem is, is that it is a touch screen phone. After sometime you might get bored with it. Is it worth buying this phone ?
