having hand on this phone for 2 years, here is my honest post. uiq technology is dead now. slow processor, even after update i dont find any considerable speed improvement. always had problem with the touch screen, i even replaced it twice, but the problem is persistent. being my first touch screen phone, i regret very much for buy this g700. no EDGE too. camera along with flash is nice. now the phone itself is getting too hot even i had a call for 10 mins and the ear phone is reducing its loudness. finally g700 is a good non-touch phone, for its camera.

The only problem I'm having is that it's a bit sluggish. But it's possible to get used to that. Otherwise I like it, many good features, it's smartphone, but it doesn't look like one (which is also good, cause it's not big as iPhone for example), it has touchscreen but you can also use conventional keypad (which is awesome), notes has even a separate button, etc. Also I found out that it's resistant to crashing, it comes apart, you put it back together and it's working, and plastic even tho looks thin, it doesn't break.

I purchased a g700 2 years ago..it has awesome features..but more than being wid me it was in gallery coz it always has some or the other problem.my touchscreen was not workin..i changed the motherboard which cost me rs.5700.now after 6 months it stopped workin..now it has become a scrap as i can't change it again...bye bye g700..and also the cell is very slow but it has good camera and awesome flash...

it has so much abilities but i think it's cpu is not strong enough to do all these things. it can do many thing at once i mean together but it becoms so much slow that you may need to turn it off and some times you can't turn it off.

its a good and easy-working phone but my g700's touch screen fucked up 2 times and i want to sell it

Coming up to two years of ownership soon, when i first got it i was over the moon. It is my first smartphone and well now there is no going back, it is also my first touchscreen, the keypad is almost redundant now (handwriting recognition), and will not be my last.
But a year and nine months later, im not so passionate. The battery life has reduced, it has slowed dramatically and im fed up of the limited capabilities.
My 15th is in a few months and im hoping to get a new phone, the Nokia N8 is up there to replace it, but android phones look a better choice.

download MyPhoneExplorer from internet its free application to give support like synchronize all phone book, message, notes, call record, task and same u can save on Excel or Microsoft World.

i had purchase G700 3 months back and from the net i wish to upload my software and after uploading my phone become total blind it is no working i asked to service centre they said mother board damaged so need to change the mother board i can't understand what to do ???

I've dis phn for 6 months.dis phn is based upon uiq3 platfrom & it hangs a lot.it doesn't have edge facility & nothing boars me more than dis.sometime the phn freezes & then there are no options left for you to switch it off by removing d battary.it has got another huge problem-it shows wrong phone memory.a couple of weeks ago it was dropped in d water accidentaly & it's touchscreen refused to work.but as the time rolls on-it is recovering itself & now d touchscreen works quite good.
The good thing abt this phone is it has an awesome camera & d flash very good.music is also very good with headphone(sony provides a set of hpm-60 headphone which produces a very mediocre sound but it sounds perfect with hpm-70).Though it sounds terrible through speakers.it supports blackberry connectivity which is not essential for me.the method of taking note is very pasionate as it can take note through both scriblle or text mode & the dedicated note key makes it easier for you.
However this phone is quite good as it cures all the cons when it comes to camera & music...!!!

i read here that to optimise performance, i should update the software.. i updated my se g700. however, while updating, the usb cable got disconnected. when i tried to update again, it said it is already updated. but when i turned on my phone, only blank screen appears. i charged it for almost 3 hours thinking that the battery is just empty, but it still would not work.. what should i do?
