I work for an cellualr operator and test different brands of phones before they are launched. I must say that the WiFi feature on G705 is very impressive. Once you choose to turn on WiFi, it automatically searches for available SSIDs. It takes little time to get connected. Another feature I like is that once WiFi connection is on, it is the default connection used by the browser. User doesn't have to worry about changing setting from PS connection to WiFi.

> In reply to AGC @ 2008-10-07 06:48 from 07JMS.E are selfish too! belive you me...why not a 3.5mm jack slot? why not a microSD slot to memorysticks? coz any time i would want to use my somic boom headset.,but i have to either get xpensive bluetooth headsets.,

> In reply to AGC @ 2008-10-07 06:48 from 07JMi agree with you...a k850 and n95 might b at the same price coz nokia patents for available chipsets whereas s.e makes their own from scratch...thats stupid coz it increases the xpenditure n thus influence the final product...

You know I actually agree with what many of you are saying about how some SE phones lack certain features that other, similarly priced phones have. But having owned the N95-3, N95-4, and N82 (all feature packed, awesome phones that work well), I was seriously quite happy to switch to SE and get a k850i. Honestly, pictures don't do SE phones justice. They look so incredible in real life; I get compliments all the time for the k850, and I imagine anyone who gets the G705 would get the same. I literally never got a SINGLE compliment on any of my N-Series phones. I would show people what they could do, and how awesome they were, but they would always say, "Yeah but look how ugly it is". I think those of you who own one of the nicer SE phones know what I'm talking about. They're extremely nice, very well built, and while all the Nokia, Samsung, and LG owners are tethered to their wall chargers, SE owners are actually making MOBILE calls. (You have to be disconnected from your charger for it to be a 'mobile' phone). I don't work for SE or anything, and I don't own any stock lol, but I've used some of the best phones from other companies, and somehow I always come back to SE. They're just...excellent.

And to they guy who doesn't like the m2 memory format. I agree that proprietary formats kind of suck, but the k850i takes both m2 AND micro SD, AND it has all three HSDPA frequencies! Take THAT N-Series!

se should take their phones and step it up a notch. se lack a lot of physical features. their port for usb connection is so flimsy that you always lose connection. NO 3.5mm headphone jack. talk quality is very low, hard to hear. flimsy buttons. they seem to break easily and doesnt last longer than a year so insurance is a defenite need.

> In reply to SE user @ 2008-10-02 15:16 from xW8jAssisted GPS is when the phone downloads data using the carrier. So this is when the phone uses google maps for GPS service. It will cost you money for downloading data unless you've joined a plan where they give you free GPS (the waive the costs associated with assisted GPS).
