oh and one more thing i wanted to add. the picture quality is really good for not being a cyber-shot. i mean, i have a fuji cam, that compensates for the phone camera. but if you want to do quick pictures and to do some quick blogging or anything that needs a quick handycam, i am pretty satisfied with the camera, really. nothing to complain about.
2cents more =)

btw, i find that there are some bluetooth issues. my mac and the G900 seem to not stay connected when i want to do some file transferes. and the USB connection doesn't seem to be seen on the mac. i find that weird...
but in all, after using it for a bit more than a week, you kind of get the hang of it and you get to appreciate it. though i still find my K810i quite nice, still.
BUT! i love the business card scanner of the G900. makes things easier! and the full touch screen is useful, though i must say, the battery hours is quite bad. that can be improved, really. so, the less touch screen you use, the longer your battery lives...
my 2cents.

Can someone please post some sample photos of the retail version of this phone?
Because I've only seen photos taken with a preview model and they don't look too great. I really like this phone, but the bad camera quality kinda scares me off.

o yeah.. the quote states that similar quality pics are seen with the samsung U900 in comparison to the g900, well according to this site the u900 takes better pics than the nokia n95 so as i see it the g900's cam surely cant be that bad

ok guys. to all people hating on this phone, sayin how bad the camera is go check out a comparison review of this phone against nokia's flagship camera phone(smape.com)..you will see in the comparison pics that the g900s pics still look pretty decent against the best camera phone on the market..
here are a couple quotes too (p.s. the g900 was in the comparison was a prototype and we all know the camera unit is generaly upgraded in the final unit)
'Conclusions drawn from the analysis of the camera unit employed by Sony Ericsson G900 are rather ambiguous. The camera unit yields to Nokia N82 in terms of setting variety, photo and video quality, leaving the latter the absolute leader on this front so far. On the other hand, G900 seems to be a better option as long as the camera functionality / overall functionality ratio is concerned, which is on a level with the K850i flagship. Photos of similar quality are also taken with the U900 Soul camera'
'G900 is not an ultimate cameraphone, rather taking the role of a very versatile smartphone with all-embracing functionality and a touchscreen for a chief selling point. If you try to look at it from this position, you get a very balanced solution sold at a very reasonable price. The quality of touchscreen implementation in G900 (as well as G700) is worthy of admiration the very case where the conventional controls are complemented by the touch functions, yet not duplicated or entirely replaced. Previous UIQ models were known to alienate parts of the audience due to a total lack of conventional navigation buttons, single-handed operation combined with all-touch interface resulted in very low ergonomics and in fact quite unsatisfactory. This problem is now gone with G700 and G900 models'.

To ALL!
SE and all companies thrive on their image and they willing to spend big money on it.
Millions and millions of USD. Donīt you think that they can buy a few review? :)
Or they can monitor and manipulate forums etc.
I suggest to all:
Go and check out the phone and buy the very same unit once you feel that unit is good enough for you.
Do not trust reviews, forums etc. It can give you some idea what to check but the decision is yours only!
For the G900 check:
- slowness
- camera
- flash (in door pictures bad!)
- triband
- screen
- buttons / ergonomics
- look (some feel it looks cheap)
- price!!!!!
If you still like it - BUY IT!
:)

bla... bla.. bla... bla..
If you like the camera so much - why donīt you buy it!
Instead you have a Samsung!
We do not need reviews anymore!
The camera is out and we all can check it out!
It has a slow processor, and a lousy camera.
N82 beats it every possible way except thickness - But some of us care about reliablity and quality more than a few mm extra thickness.
By the way, since you have a Samsung - i900 look pretty promising to me!
Another huge mistake by SE: G900 is only a triband!!!!

I could not agree more =)
I an Esato member, i used to love SE up until the W950 which was a BEAUTIFUL phone but thats as far as it got, UIQ was implemented very poorly.
Anyway ive been reading a lot of G900 posts in different Forums since i was considering getting this device but ive decided to stick with NOKIA after having ths device in my hand. There are a lot of design faults like dust getting in to the screen VERY easily, camera pics being blurry or just bad colour reproduction, better than K850 but still not satisfactory, UI being sluggish, high bit rate videos freezing and still very little software for it. Must say i was let down, and it seems that the dust problem in the screen, bad camera and sluggish UI are common, nearly every complaint i read about for this phone is something i experienced with it, and most forums are complaining about it, saying its too little hardware for the price, i agree, thought SE cared, but the lack of even a memory card in the sales package says a lot.

People post pictures (picture quality) that other G900 owners can not duplicate.
Nice for SE sales and PR.
The fact is that all owners can agree that this phone has problems with its camera - especially indoor or outdoor when
not totally sunny.
The processor slow!
I guess SE can afford a few teens to jam forums with fake pictures and fantastic comments.
