Regarding battery life.
The battery is Lithium ion polymer; which is not that bad. works few days easily.

No GPRS modem. Don't get befooled by the infra-red. Its useless; transfers ony images. Not recommended fot peple who like to use for conncetivity.

i wud like to answer ur question.the phone doesnt have good battery.so what they have done is that the screen just switches off after some and not the phone, just like a PC monitor turns off.so be relaxed .there is no such problem in ur phone.it is just a battery saving option.

I have been using J200 for about a month now. I want to connect it to my PC via IR port. I am using Mobile action MA-660. There is no software provided for J200. Can any one help. My email is add. ash.kohli@gmail.com

Dumb phone from sony,
The battery life is very short-can make only 6-8 calls for 12 hours charge.
The display light get switched-off very frequently.
Dumb-phone.....don't EVER buy this phone

Its really a nice phone, if you compare its quality from price then you come to know that you pay much lesser than you get from it.
But the only thing which is not actually the problem is that it should have downloadable games and applications too.

The J200i is a cool phone...but there's some bad things about it...everything is fine...I use this phone for a month already...
The batt life is kinda bad when you always make calls. The screen is kinda good but not under sunlight. The sound is great! is better than K700i sound. Trust me, those who always play ringtones!

For me J200i is OK. We can't expect more than we pay with that price. I can say J200i is prety good for normal user. Beautiful sound and also picture. The weakness of J200i is no GPRS modem. The Infra red on that device just for transferring sound and image from PC/Laptop or other SOny erricson.

the j200i is an ok phone.....budget friendly and good enough for basic user.....and its really small....i just sold a two week's new one in black for sgd$ 160( complete package)....now i have a white one only phone and charger for $sgd 130....hihi anyone interested......

The phone seemed to be good one initially,when it was launched in the market. but it has got too many negative points such as low battery backup and low memory. one of my friends who bought this phone a month back is facing problems with its infrared port also.
overall the phone seems to be bad one.

I got this phone but facing a strange problem, It is getting off by itself and not getting on... then suddenly it goes on and then i can c that the bettery is full. It also hangs while operation. where the problem can be?

for the retail price that it calls for, cant complain for all its worth, but i reckon it'd been a wish come true if its battery lifespan could be stretched a wee bit more. been having fun with this baby...

hi to all you guys using 2001 and to all those who want to buy 2001.!! i have been using this phose for a couple of weeks now and i to opin that this phone is all striped down to the basic. It coms with only 600k of memory for the all your pic and tones(can handle only about 20 pict and fewer tones). I dosent connect to the PC via infrared. As far as the looks.... it just steals.
