a basic phone with additional features like superb display

and also
no java
no datacable connectivity
but over all a good phone...............from se

i just bought it last night.. overall for a low end cell it quite impressive. better than N1600 or even N2626 . Guys, this morning i saw the lcd blinks several times. .was it another bug on j230? fyi my s/w is R5N prgCXC 1250353

Hi. can anyone tell me does the fm have a loudespeaker option. If yes, how good/loud is the loudespeaker as compared with nokia 2300/2310? my expectations r not too high.

Hi All,
I bought this cell, Sony Ericsson j230i just 2 days back. I tried using calling card to make interantional calls but failed to do so.After entering the correct pin number it is saying that the pin number is invalid.
I called the customer care people and found that this phone does not support calling cards. But one of my friend told who was using this cell told me that it supports calling cards.
Can anybody tell me whether this phone supports calling cards or not?
I will appreciate if u mail me(neelima.nishi@gmail.com) the answer.

I just got this phone three days ago. Yes it has lots of bugs :D I've discovered them already. The bugs including the reminder thingy, or not forget to mention the text style won't go the way we set 'em to on SMS text.
And wow another one when we try to add picture MMS. Just scroll down, and u'll see weird clone of a part of menu selection in white background.
But I still kinda love this phone, it has nice look, small fonts (which make the screen looks big), cute graphics, and the screen can display up to 6 rows. Not so bad... ;)

Dont u expect too much from this phone Dear.
Every low end mobile has few backdrops....U need to live with that....
I can afford to have a good one but Mobile snatchers neva allow me to do that.....
This mobile is meant for simplicity, basic communication and little fun....
I bought few casings for ma J230i....
Looks cool in its new outfits that's one pro....
FM features r good...Specially the option mono and sterio...very handy for frequent users like me.......
One precaution....removing ur sim then inserting another cost u a loss of missed recieved call record,and groups u have made from ur phone book....

just returned from the SE service center .they confirmed that J230 does not have a normal reminder function .So be careful before buying.

well guys,
this device is enough for anybody needs simple comunications with a little fun of radio.
do not expect to much if you spend a low for cost in this device.
But anyway, this one is better than nokia 2626/2310/1200/1208.
for the datacable, not important......
for what? back up your SMS/email in about 500kb memory ? come on guys !
