I am using this fone from last 6 months. Total memory is 2 MB which is not big enough, Camera is quite good max(1280*768@256colors). No camparsion of sound quality, I think its specifications is more than its cost. Every thing is working fine till.

Another thing that i hate about this set is you can not delete or transfer more than one photo at a time.

I have been using this phone for more than six months. Here are MY likes and dislikes about the phone:
Things i like are:
1. Good display (although inferior to k700)
2. Nice design (i think its very much resistant to knocks)
3. Nice materials (the screen and rest of the body do not scratch easily)
4. Large java applications can be installed
5. Fast menus

Things I dislike:
1. Joy stick can get easily damaged (if not pressed gently)
2. java applications can not acess internet (maybe due to my service provider)
3. Can store few SMSes
4. camera quality is not good (similar to that of k700)
5. very few wap sites can be accessed
6. picture browsing is slow
7. Although the screen is large, it displays very small information (my old nokia 3100 can display more text than this set)

The worst phone.The joystick gets damaged after 2,3 months of usage battery does not last longer.The camera starts taking black and dark pictures.I've been using this phone for 6 months and i'm fed up.Please dont buy this phone.

i've found that in the K508i the battery life is much less than what sony specified I generally only use it a couple of hours [a day] yet i'm having to recharge everyday

i wanna know that what is the difference between k500i n k508!!!which 1 is better...which is gud 1 to buy and whatz the difference in functions and themes etc..plz tell me

I am deciding to buy either a k700i or a k508i.

Needed some guidance.

1. Someone told me that neither of these phones has photo-id. Is that true ?
2. Which has a better keypad ? I found the keypad of the k508 to be more comfortable for smsing.
3. Hows the battery life of these phones.
4. Is it true that the k700 camera takes better quality pics and has longer video recording time than k508 ??

Please guide me if anyone has any knowledge on these phones.

its an awesome phn..but memory, no blueooth.and the f*ckin joystick.the joystick gets bad after 3-4 months

Itz good $ nic3, eazy 2 handl3, itz sound iz tooooooooooo good but th3 memory iz less as usual all da guyz $ grlz say. But i lov3 tat set__|__

its very gud mobile but memory is so short any wayz i like dis mobile very much its gud 4 me its performance is very gud n sound is marvellous !!!! bye :)

lol teejay i do the same thing to mute my camera but anyway this phone rulz its usability does not suk to all ppl who think that. Its Graphical Enhanced tech poos all over nokias boring cartoony graphics and motorola and i many others.for $230AUS it was a bargain and its got a great camera quality and somthing good about it is u can compress songs on the computer and send em through a data cable to your phone and listem to them. Works great when i want to listen to music in the shower :D
maybe it could do with a bit more memory considering how much videos take up.
But overall it RULZ BUY IT!!!!
i promise u wont regret buying it!

to put the MUTE to the camera you only need to press the button that has a crossed-musical note....and the problem of putting the MUTE to the phone is that if u get a call i won't sound :(

there is a way to bypass sound of clicking pic... dial a toll free no or your helpline or something and while dialling or in call switch on the camera and take the pic... no sound will come :)

Sony Ericsson K508i is a great one to deal with. Nice colors, great features and good Camera. I have been using it for 3 months. Now I m facing few problems like;
How to silent the Camera Voice?
It shows 9MB total calculated Memory. One of my friend got the same fone and he has total calculated memory of 12MB as mentioned in specifications aslo, how I should get my memory back?

Bought K508i - It lasted 4 days before being described by SonyEricsson as having Early Life Failure.
Came with camera strap. Very flimsy plastic. Very delicate.

the joystick really sucked. my brother got it for only two mths and the joystick is already faulty. dont buy this phone . what good will the functions do when the joystick totally sucks?
