hey sup. guyz i wanna buy k550 bt i dunno, should i buy dis one, or w810?.. i think u cant put a larger memory stick on k550. how much memory can it be put on the k550?

Hi vins ::
Well the mp3 player is similar to the walkman player version 1.0 included in all walkman series. Well as regards the sound clarity the supplied headsets are average in clarity.
But what I did was that I changed it to the walkman headsets and then the sound clarity was same as the w800i which i previously owned !!!!
Also note that the volume is a bit less than walkman phones and also there is no mega bass feature but with equaliser settings and walkman headsets u can easily get almost the same effect as with the mega bass ....
Remember that its all deponds on the headset ur using. Get a orginal headset hpm70(or75) 4 1200/- (4 branded ones ) and u can get very decent sound thru ur set !!!
Dont buy duplicate ones , u would get them for as low as 150/- to 600/-.
So remember HEADSET is the key ......

Hello guys
Just wanted 2 ask u all whether there is any difference b/w the two modes namely "FINE" and "NORMAL" given under the option "PICTURE QUALITY" given in K550i camera menu ???
All I know is that the file size varies in these 2 modes .....
Is there any difference in the picture's QUALITY ??????

Hai Heizel...
Well K750i and K550i uses the same flash lights in them , except that in 750i photos are better lighted up with flash on , where as in k550i photos are captured just after the flash brights up and dims. So result : 750i taken good pics in night when compared with 550i.
But in k800i, there is xenon flash , which flashes only when photo is captured and it is much much stronger than k750 n 550 lights. It also has red eye reduction in it ....
So k800i works just like sony's cybershot cameras function..... and results in good night photos as well......

Hi guys ......
Heard some much around in the site about users commenting that k550i camera module is bad shen compared to k750i . well I do agree , but that difference counts only in the night mode which k550i does'nt have. Instead there is a twilight landscape mode, which uses long exposure ... but photos are tend 2 be bad when using this mode and also shaky .
But in daytime the 550i takes excellent pics and color reproduction is very very good .

i juz bou this K550i, everything is fine... except that when u press the button, the battery cover behind is giving this creaking sound. As if the cover is slightly biger. Makes the phone look so cheap n it is so irritating. Juz like to know is anybody facing same problem...?

zoom is disabled in a lot of fones because it deteriorates the quality ,,as its only digital zoom your better enlarging the foto on your computer than using digital zoom or get closer to the object if poss...obviously optical zoom is where its at but only few camfones hav it and at most its normal mode and macro mode..somewere or it was on BBC 1 click online a firm is bringing out stick on optical zooms for camfones but can find any info yet but will sell like mad wen the product arrives...A good tip is to use a monocular or lightweight binoculars in front of the fone but you must keep rigid to avoid blur,,the further you zoom the more your shake is amplified

Hi, I owe this phone. Although this phone is very good, the only issue that I am facing is that this phone does not have zoom feature while clicking photos in normal mode. Maybe I am missing something... Can anybody suggest ?????

the keypad has not bothered me and i really think its easier as all you can press is the slim bar whereas my d900 and other square type keys are hard to hit but you cannot go wrong with the slit type keypad,,in fact i am going to say its the easiest keypad ive had in 8-9 years
I give the k550 to my dad to get the w610i because of colour but you loose the stainless steel lens cover and cam shutter button..The w610 which is the same as k550 is all plastic and whether i made the right choice is debataable so i can give this info since ive had both,,,k550i more sturdy and cam orientated whereas w610 more plasticky but trendier and bit better walkman functions but in use you get more solidness with k550.

I've had k500i for 2 month now and got kind of bored with the design so I decided to swap the housing with w610i and at the same time also changed the firmware to w610i. so now I've got W610i and can go back to k550i as well If I want to:) the camera quality seems to be the same but more options and better music funtions, I'm quite cool to stay w610i ^_^

basically...ya'll hav to know tht k550i is MEANT to replace k750i...so the stuff u get is most probally an upgrade found in k750i...and tht meeans it is dam good...haha
