To : Grong,
is the call volume as good as K610i/K610i ?
Will be waiting for your advice
I cant decide which among the 3 to buy.SE K550,SE W810 and Nokia6300.The last one has poor battery life but screen in excellent with 16M colors.K550 seems good but I read different opinions about picture quality, battery life and sound quality. And W810 is very good with some 3000Rs more but it doesn't have any lens cover.I'm confused.
Plz help me in deciding which one will be best for me.
please, can anybody send me photo from k550 ?
yesterday i buy this phone, but i can't make good photo's. i seem's like autofokus doesnt work.. (
I have had the phone for about a week now and put it through its paces. I would say Grong's thoughts listed below are about mine exactly. The phone seems to do everything pretty well, but nothing perfectly. Overall, it is very nice to use, and somehow the 220x176 resolution screen doesn't look as bad as the k750's or w800's. I think smoother fonts account for that. Also, for those of you worried about texting: although they do take a little getting used to, the new keys SE is using are very very good for texting. I send about 20-30 texts a day and the phone keeps up very well. Overall, I would highly recommend this mobile for the price. If you really need 3G, wait for the w660...it looks pretty good.
here's the link:
-see for your self the pictures are relatively at par with K750.
BIG QUESTION to owners of this phone. How comfortable(or uncomfortable)is to write messages with this phone ? Thanx..
sar level is high (1.25), but this is max emitted power. if mobile station located near each other signal should be less then 1.25. and in places with bad covering you can to get good signal quality, because mobile cn emitt so big power.
Camera has auto focus, comes with 64mb card not 512. That's an error by GSM.
I have had the K550 for a week now. This is probably the best mid range priced phone out there. First, battery is EXCELLENT, camera is above average for picture and par for video messages(that's all I use it for anyways), reception is very good, new keypad design, believe it or not, is easier to text on than conventional keys, very responsive (more space between keys), it is extremely compact (not bulky like my old k790), call volume is good, speaker is loud but clear, screen's resolution is a step down from the k790 but still very good, vibrate function is average (although you can download vibrate tones that make it stronger!) gripes... Battery cover creaks and makes the phone feel cheaper than it actually is! All in all, if you're not looking for the most expensive phone fully featured, this is in my opinion the perfect phone, has everything that you need on it.
This cell is goodlooking, but... Its purpose is to replace k750 on the market and I think it will succssed, however there is one serious con about that. Careful consumer will notice that SAR levels in comparison to k750, are huge. K750 had 0.66 W/kg (10g) and k550 has 1.25 W/kg. This will be uncomfortable, if some talks more than 10min mostly. I am a huge talker so I try not to use any mini microwaves ovens next to my head. Bye
I finally decided to get this phone after narrowing it down from three. I figure this phone's features outweight the two others one which is LG KG800 and Z610. Correct me if I'm wrong or if you disagree, please comment on either phones. I'm planning to get this phone at the end of this month. But first I have a few questions that I hope you guys can help me with.
I read somewhere that this phone have a 64MB internal memory, but it also comes with an additional 512MB card so I was wondering if this is true? If not, can I just purchase any memory card phone or do I have to purchase a specific card by sony ericsson? Also, is there a place on the phone where I can put accesories? Like those cellphone strap. My last question is does anyone have the white phone because I know they are selling it. If someone does have it, can you please send me a picture? I want to see if the white one have the same blue light on the number pad as the black one.
I would really appreicate it if people would give me their feedback. Thanks!
just turn on silent and the sound shal turned off.
it's not a problem in the phone, i think the battery also depends on the network that phone utilizes on that location, all phones may have different battery lives because of the network. another is that try checking the battey if it's genuine or not. here we got no problems from all SE phones when it comes to battery issue. most people say here that after using other brands , they ended up satisfied and amazaed with SE esp. the battery life.
i would also like to add that during that 4 days standby, i have about 1.5 hours total talk time and took some pictures (without led)
smann.. i am not sure where you read the k550 have bad batteries life..
however, i have been using it for over 2 weeks and i can tell you it will last 4 days on standby...
the phone stay on for the whole day even when it is flashing the low battery warning...
is there an option to turn off the camera shutter sounds in Sony Ericsson K550i?
