Update:
Decided for 1st time to totally dissect K610i tt dropped (need 6star screw driver), started fiddling w all the electronic bits on circuit board then suddenly phone returned to life (began w battery low signal (10red flashes on top))... now phone working as normal for the last 3 days, happy +++ about that, happy cos Li-polymer battery in phone still lasts 5 days/charge after 6 yrs of use!

6yr old K610i phone, knocked multiple times previously, but survived. But the last time, worked a very short while then went on strike after camera button was applied. From then on, will only show persistent bright white screen, will not fully start up, no red/ green blinking (on light), unable to link w computer etc.
Called svc ctr n they said must send down to Bishan Junction 8 for assessment, will see how/ what to do given that I stay pretty far away...

probably the most durable phone i ever had. dropped it more than a dozen times and still worked well. my sister's k610i, she dropped it inside the toilet bowl, just let it dry and still worked. camera is good for its class. although i hate sony's memory cards (too expensive). too bad i lost mine. would be using it until now if i still have it.

got it as a persent in 2006 for my father, its the most capabel n dependerbel phone iw got,still workin,now its 6 n half years old

Lithium Polymer battery is better?
Haha, discovered why my K610i (bought late2006, reg use) battery still lasts at least 4-5days/charge (min use) whilst my cheap LG LP105 (Bought early2009, hardly used)recently started to last only about 20hrs/full charge- the KP105 came with a Li-ion battery whilst the K6101 comes with a Li-polymer battery.
According to 'Lithium Polymer (Lipo) Battery Guide' http://prototalk.net/forums/sh...ead.php?t=22 , Li-Po batteries are more advanced than Li-ion batteries although some differences between Li-ion and LiPo on various sites are conflicting.
