if ur battery dies.. u can just get a new battery.. not taht expensive.. then ur phone can last forever... currently.. i get 4-5 days . not too bad IMO
battery life really depends on how you do your initial charge (and subseqent charges).. if u do it bad, u "can" decrease the battery's potential

i too have a SE K700i...the problem with this
phone is its battery life, it wud be better if it'll last for years, or even a decade..but it has a nice screen, and it can play mp3 huh?!..here's a tip:
dont use your phone..shut it off always..there you can save your battery life :)

convert ur mp3's to mp4 format.. then u can put more songs w/o losing much quality :D

i've tried converting mpe to amr files but when i transfer to the phone, the sound quality is not that clear, does anyone have this problem, how can i make it clear?can't use mp3 as ringtones :(

Forgot to say, the Sony Ericsson recharge system is broken, you do never know if your phone is actually recharging, this combined with the low battery life time, is the worst problem.

I am a cellular power user, 3+ hours talking per day, and I have never ever had a phone this lousy.
Battery lifetime is like half a day.
Phone locks totally up from time to time.
The vibrator does not stop, if I do not manage to answer. (Need to take out the battery, to make it stop)
The joystick is not protected from dirt, so don’t put this phone in your pocket.
And finally, the vendor says this phone is ‘up-to-date’.
My very first phone (Altatel One Touch max) was even more convenient to use.

this one is still better then the 6230
-bigger screen
-looks better
-smaller
-more features
-better MP3 quality
the only thing better about the 6230 is the memory and for most ppl 41 MB is still alot of memory, and the speed of the 6230 is faster but that of the K700 is still good so over all the K700 is better all the way.

sorry nokia 6230 lover but the k700i still beats the 6230. the only thing dat the 6230 is better then the k700i is that it has a memory card. other than that the k700i beats it in every aspect. my friend has a 6230 and the mp3 quality is low. the k700i mp3 are very clear.

Software contained in a read-only memory (ROM) device.
This was what I found by typing into Google - I would suggest trying there for most of your queries.
Dependent on manufacturer you can gain the firmware from them.

the k7ooi never beats the 6230i k700i does not have any memory card it is alot slower and the mp3s sore in beside your ringtones. as for the 6230i has a seperate place

the speed of this cannot even be compared to that of the 6230. the nokia phone is light years ahead in terms of speed.
