Payam is right, mate. The fact is Java phones cannot get a virus easily. But it is always good to be cautious when you install 3rd party applications/games. You cannot get a virus through GPRS unless you install a corrupt "jar" file or "jad" file . k750i does not have EDGE. So the browsing speed will be very limited. Using the phone as a modem will not damage your phone. You do need antivirus on your PC though.Everyone who uses N -Back- the net needs antivirus on their PC. There are some good Free ones available too.
To Kim :
Sorry, you cannot install the games played on Ngage, 6600 etc..., as they are Symbian, ".sis" extension games. You can only install and play Java games, ".jar" extension. Java games are not as good as Symbian, but they're not too bad either.

The Volume is low only in new firmware (I keep telling this... sigh). The QUALITY of music is THE best for Cellphones, and only second best amongst all MP3 players (1st place goes to Ipod, of course). The k750i has Walkman Quality music, with Megabass, even though it does not have the "Tag" of Walkman. I suggest you tweak the Equalizer manually till you get the best sound that pleases you. My suggestion, put the LEFTMOST bar (Bass) to full, and then decrease next bar by 1 and so on till the RIGHTMOST. That should be good enough at full volume. Though I must warn, listening to music at such loud volumes is injurious to the eardrums. Mebbe that's why SE decided to lower the volumes.

I'm sorry, but I do not face that problem of Beeping during Call/Sound Recording every 20 secs. If anyone else has had the problem and knows a solution, please comment. I would suggest you take it to an SE store and have the problem rectified. Maybe it needs some Firmware update. I'm afraid I cannot help you in this problem.

Your welcome mate. Will let all know if 4 GB works out. And about firmware, upgrading is upto you. It is not required to upgrade the firmware. In fact, I would recommend that if you have an old firmware, DO NOT update the firmware, as the new firmware does have volume problems, and some other small problems too.

Guys every1 has more or less agreed that the walkman player is superior to the one offered by the k750i out of the box though there is not much difference in the sound quality ( once you purchase a set of walkman earphone)
Can some1 pls list out these differences/advantages of the player in detail
Also can any1 give a well informed comparison to the music quality of the E50 nokia with the sony k750i since im tearing my head apart trying to choose either 1

I got information about K750 from this site. I make my mind to buy it. But I am in confusion, that in Nepal the mobiles are duplicatly import from China. So I want help, how can we find out orginality of mobile set. and How can we know the battry is original as well as set. If any idea pls help me.

I think I've found a way around the sound problem I went into the sound Equalizer menu and set the voice option so all green any yellow bar's were showing and only two red bar's were showing Hope That Helps.

TIP: HOW TO PLAY AAC AUDIO FILES ON SE K750i
I thought I should just tell you guys that I have just discovered how to play AAC audio files on the Sony Ericsson K750i....
DO NOT PUT THEM IN THE "AUDIO" FOLDER ON THE PHONE... USE THE MP3 FOLDER (PARADOXICALLY). YOU CAN EVEN PUT THE AUDIO FILES IN FOLDERS (WITHIN THE MP3 FOLDER) TO KEEP THEM ORGANISED (THOUGH ONLY ONE FOLDER DEEP - in other words, put all the folders you want in the MP3 folder, but no other folders inside those folders you just put in).
The extension that the AAC audio files should have is ".m4a", and not ".aac" (iTunes gives its AAC files the extension ".m4a" automatically). This means that you do not need to convert your AAC files to MP3 to play them on the SE K750i.
Lastly, contrary to what some may think, AAC IS MPEG-4 Audio.
