This phone is the best of de bestes i got one adn it´s fabulous
And it´s much better then any nokia phone
Oh you mean HAVE problems with MS due. Well as you read in the page it says "Some phones" not all of them. I haven't had any problems myself with the new firmware. Listen, if you are just satisfied with your current device performance and the added tweaks in the latest one aren't of much importance to you then don't change your current firmware and stay with it.
"fave problems with MS duo thing" what do you mean with that ??
if i upgrade my firmware to R1N035... will that means that i have to fave problems with MS duo thing?i currently use the R1L002 and actually i have no problems with it.
The K750i headset type is different than W800i one, if you've read each mobile review you'de have known that by yourself. The headset of K750i is better in quality/performance than the W800i, But W800i headset has the advantage of the RCA jack -which isn't in the K750i one- which allows you to plug your desired headset.
forgot to ask.. is the headset type of k750i = w800i as in quality of sound and the 3.5mm jack :> that lets you insert any othere headphones ( like on w800i )
Just check the review with the name "Sony Ericsson K750 review: Get Excited!", you'll find your answer in page 1.
Basically you don't need to upgrade or change the firmware as long as it's just working fine. You only have to upgrade if your device is acting weird or the software have lots of bugs in it. However, upgrading the software in most of the times means better performance -same with your VGA driver, you install the latest one automatically even if the current one is just fine for you, yet we all install the latest for better performance-, same case here. The latest firmware improve the camera quality in both still/video modes, improve the receiving quality, increase the bluetooth connection strength and security and ofcourse fix some bugs. Check this link to know if there is a newer firmware out there and what exactly will it do to your device, the latest one is R1N035
For your other question, I don't really know, I don't have any additional applications installed in my device, never needed any, so I don't know if there are such applications available for K750i or not, just google for it and maybe you'll find some.
1) Yes, you can minimize the media player and use any other applications along with your music in the background.
2) I don't know the video capturing resolution in Nokia 6230i to tell if it's better than K750i or the opposite, if it's higher than 176*144 in 6230i then it'll be better than K750i, as for the bit rate I'm not sure of the 6230i rate but the latest firmware of K750i makes it very high.
3) No differences at all, they are the same, even the same version.
It's not with K750i only but any other model of another brand with the same features as well. N90 as an example -a direct competitor to k750i- has the same working days, stand-by and talking time.
If these freezes happens randomly then it's quite normal, remember, it doesn't have a XP operating system or AMD/Intel processor, so it's normal to have some rare random freezes from time to time. But if it freezes occasionally at the same time when using the same application then it's a bug in the software of this application and that's why they create new firmwares, to fix bugs.
Remember guys, when reading a release notes of any driver, you find the word "sometimes" or "some cases" when talking about bugs, though the driver is for the same hardware yet some people will possibly have that bug while other won't, even if 2 persons have 2 identical systems, one might have the bug while the other might not have it. Keeping that in mind should help you understand the bugs problem.
This is a great phone with a great camera. The features are all great as is the design, however I found the battery life rather poor and also have had issues with the software. The phone has frozen up on me a number of times at different stages.
My question will be. Can you play mp3's in background while playing games or duing anything else. like in W800i
and is the Video quality better then the Nokia 6230i :>
and how much different the mp3 player is :> from W800i
please excuse my ignorance and before you tell me off i am looking through the current 194 pages of reviews but cant seem to find answer im looking for. Quite simply for your obvious expertise is why do i need to update the k750i's firmware when its working fine? Also do you know of any sat nav or tom tom applications which can be used with the phone? I did apologise for my ignorance so be nice.
I posted earlier about the battary issue saying that I believe that the battary industry isn't growing as fast as the handset one -same in the laptop arena-, you blame a mobile manufacturer for bad OS or bad feature but not for bad battaries, instead you only blame the battaries research/technology. Simply, that's all they have/can. However you can still buy a 1100 milli amber one instead of the standard 900 milli one, but that's all, that's the highest one.
I think that you mean which applications can be installed not files, as you can put any files in the memory stick but not all of them can be viewed/accessed/edited from the device software. For that I tell you that you can install quite many applications in this device, I think you can install almost all the applications but the office ones, just search in any mobiles software site and you'll find lots can be installed in the K750i.
Thanks for the help man, but I don't think that it will improve the quality or increase the resolution. It can be easier or faster or even more user friendly but it can't -nor the mpeg x4 live can- change the quality or resolution. You can always change the bit rate of any MP3, changing it from 128 up to 192 but the quality will remain the same no matter what you do. It's about the capturing/encoding quality itself, or that's what I believe.
I don't think that you can change the cover to put W800i one instead of the original one -if that is what you mean by housing-. However, upgrading the firmware to W800i one IS NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL, it will void the warranty and you'll lose the shortcut key -it will become of no use just a decoration key-. If you love the funcky stuff just go for it and leave the pro. stuff lovers stay with it.
hey since u can change the firmware into W800 firmware.. can u put a W800 housing into this as well...? if u can... it s W800 yeah...? :P
or maybe u cant..? or mayb it fixs but not 100%...?
cuz i think the W800 has a funkier look although this seems more pro...
but i sorta go for d funky stuff!!
what do say..? any one..? pls

Hey all , pls tell me one thing , as this mobile isnt symbian , so which files can be installed on this mobile ?
Thanx, @DOuL, I kinda figured it out myself in the end that it was all energy-saving measures. The battery is only 900mAH so no wonder. I get 4 days max out of it. I posted the same issues on the SE support website so will share their response (if I get one). Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic multi-media device and with just a few improvements could make inroads into the Nokia/Motorola dominance of the handset market.
